We know the importance of connection; of a friendly face and a safe, welcoming space, of gentle conversations that help overcome lonliness and ease a person's mood.

This is why this World Health Day, we're celebrating the role of connection in everything we do, helping us feel happier, seen, and more fulfilled.

Connection is key, but it doesn’t have to be a huge gesture.

Sometimes it’s a smile, a message, a moment of listening.

Small acts. Real impact. 🧡

As we remember Jesus' death on the cross today, we worship a God who is not distant from our pain and suffering. We can come to Him knowing that he understands and identifies with us - however weak or unworthy we feel.

As we look to the cross, we can be assured of God's great love and kindness towards us, and his deep desire for us to live in freedom - and we know that Sunday is coming.

We had such a lovely morning together creating beautiful, meaningful flowers 🌸 each part represented different areas - things we want to grow in (the petals) what we will feed ourselves with in order to grow (leaves) where we get our strength (stem) and loose leaves representing the things we want to release and let go of.

Real and honest conversations ❤️

Fridays like this remind me why these groups matter so much.

Restored at LSCC is a support service for anyone impacted by domestic abuse. We offer a safe, compassionate space where people are listened to, believed, and supported.

We are a small but dedicated team of volunteers, all DBS checked and trained to Level 3 in Domestic Abuse Awareness, Recognition and Response.

Some of our volunteers also have lived experience of domestic abuse, which not only adds a level of empathy which can’t be taught in a text book but also a deep, first hand understanding of how complex and isolating abuse can be.

We offer confidential, non-judgemental support, meeting people where they are and moving at their pace. Our role is not to tell anyone what to do, but to listen, support, and help people explore their options safely.

We provide emotional, practical, and where needed, spiritual support, we raise awareness around domestic abuse, and work within our church and local community to help people find hope, safety, and freedom.

Because no one should feel alone, unheard, or trapped. We believe everyone deserves to live a life free from fear, and that restoration and healing are possible.
