TalkFIRST is a Wigan-based charity dedicated to supporting families through conflict and change. Our mediation and support services help parents and carers find healthier ways to communicate, resolve disputes, and put children first.
We are currently looking to recruit new Trustees who share our passion for helping families and strengthening communities.
Ideally, we would love to hear from people who live or work in Wigan and understand what a brilliant and unique place it is. Local knowledge helps us ensure our services remain relevant and accessible to the families who need them most.
At this stage, we are particularly keen to hear from individuals with a finance background who can help guide the charity with financial oversight and strategic decision-making. However, more than anything, we’re looking for people who care about the work we do and want to get involved.
Being a Trustee with TalkFIRST isn’t just about attending meetings. We’re looking for people who are happy to roll their sleeves up, whether that’s lending a hand at fundraising activities, supporting community events, or helping us spread the word about the work we do.
As a Trustee you will:
Provide guidance and strategic oversight for the charity
Help ensure strong financial stewardship and sustainability
Support fundraising and awareness activities
Champion TalkFIRST within the local community
In return, you’ll join a passionate team working to make a real difference to families across Wigan.
