SWAP has been welcoming refugees to our Borough for over twenty years, and we know that the majority of people want to provide a warm welcome to those in need. However, the UK is witnessing a growing anti asylum and refugee movement, who often lie, exaggerate and manipulate the truth in order to create division. Now is the time to stand in solidarity, and we urge all our friends and followers to join the Wigan Solidarity Protest this Saturday. See poster for details, and see you there.

And Part Two, with our fabulous women, the magnicent Linus Project sharing their skills and warmth, and our committed and helpful volunteers. Delish food, as usual, with African goat stew, Namibian sheeps head, Albanian pasta bake, Chelsea Buns, Moroccan fish stew, and a selection of biscuits for dunkin (thanks Kerry !). Cracking day.

Part One of our Refugee Week celebrations, with arts and crafts, tasty food, and an English class enjoyed by all. Massive Thanks to our large team of local volunteers, not just for the day, but for all the work you out in to providing a warm welcome to people in need.
