What an absolutely amazing day and night celebrating my 60th birthday! 🥂🎉

I had the best time, surrounded by my wonderful husband Kev, Brandon, Emily, my family and so many lovely friends. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with me and made me feel so special and loved. ❤️

I was completely overwhelmed by all my beautiful cards, thoughtful poems, gorgeous gifts and lovely messages. I really appreciate every single person who took the time to think of me and help make my birthday so memorable.

I still can’t believe I was chosen by Michelle and her wonderful team at Gin on the Lane to receive a free party, after being nominated by my little sister Fran. What an incredible surprise and one I will never forget!

Michelle’s attention to detail was amazing—from the beautiful balloons in my chosen colours and the gorgeous buffet, to a slideshow filled with childhood photographs, girlie holidays and precious family memories. The fabulous light-up 60 numbers were another wonderful surprise!

Michelle and her team were on hand throughout the night, making sure everything ran perfectly. Nothing was too much trouble, and I honestly can’t thank them enough for everything they did.

If you are looking for somewhere to hold a party, look no further than Gin on the Lane. It is such a beautiful, intimate venue and absolutely perfect for any celebration.

Thank you to everyone who helped make my 60th birthday so incredibly special. I feel very lucky and have made memories that I will treasure forever. ❤️🥂🎂

💛 A HUGE THANK YOU TO LAURA! 💛

We want to say the biggest thank you to the amazing Laura for choosing to run the Wigan 10K this year in support of Daffodils Dreams and the children and families across our borough. 🌼

I know firsthand just how difficult it is to complete the 10K wearing the Sully costume—it certainly isn’t easy! So, hats off to Laura for taking on this incredible challenge.

Just like me, Laura did it for the children—bringing smiles to so many little faces along the route while raising vital funds to help us continue our work. We are incredibly proud of you, Laura, and so grateful for everything you have done. You are an absolute superstar! 💛👏🏃‍♀️

The Tyler Lee team do so much for the children of Wigan—creating opportunities, inspiring hope, ambition and aspirations, and helping them develop valuable skills, all while having lots of fun. Most importantly, they make every child feel valued, supported and confident in themselves. ❤️

💛 URGENT REFERRALS 💛

Today we have received three urgent referrals:

• Three young siblings desperately needing clothes and toys, with one also needing shoes
• Six young children all needing clothes
• A child needing black trainers so they can attend school in the correct footwear

Ten young children who need our help with things that many of us take for granted.

These referrals are heartbreaking, but they are also a powerful reminder of why Daffodils Dreams is here. Our wonderful volunteers are already working hard to prepare everything needed, always adding those extra special touches to bring comfort, dignity and a smile to every child.

We simply couldn’t do this without the incredible people, businesses and organisations who support us. Every donation and every act of kindness enables us to respond when a child needs us most.

An incredible thank you to Bob and Tracy, the Men’s and Ladies’ Captains of Gathurst Golf Club 🌼

We are absolutely overwhelmed by the wonderful news that their recent event raised an amazing £1,220 from the raffle and £4,660 from the auction!

Together with approximately £900 raised through other events and donations, Bob and Tracy are hoping to donate a further £7,000 to Daffodils Dreams, in addition to the £2,000 they generously donated in July.

What an extraordinary achievement! We cannot thank Bob, Tracy, Gathurst Golf Club and everyone who supported the event, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets or placed bids enough.
