Sunday 14th June saw the annual Wigan and Leigh Almoners Afternoon Tea Party at Bryn Masonic Hall. It was an excellent afternoon funded by the Province and was attended by 135 avid sandwich and cake consumers. The food was excellent as usual with entertainment provided by yours truly, including an audience participation "band" which comprised several well known local celebrities namely Ian Green, Gary Byron, John Barnes, Keith Woodhall and Ryan Mangnall. They nearly all managed to play along in time in addition to their own solo spots which came close to bringing the house down. The next episode of "Bryn's Got No Talent" will be coming to a masonic hall near you very shortly ............

Wigan Lodge Annual Bowls Evening
Wigan Lodge held their annual bowls evening at Bryn Masonic Hall on 19th June, with a fantastic turnout from both players and supporters.
It proved to be a very close contest throughout, with Adam and Russ eventually taking the honours after a hard-fought final against Wigan Lodge Worshipful Master Paul King and Craig Lyon.
A wonderful evening was enjoyed by all who took part, as well as those who came along to support.
Congratulations to Adam and Russ, and thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success.

Terry Worthington of Tuscan Oak and Lamberthead Lodge recently celebrated his 50th anniversary in Freemasonry. His Personal and Masonic History was presented in a splendid manner by APGM Malcolm Bell in what was one of the last ceremonies at Pemberton Masonic Hall prior to its closure.

Come and help celebrate 200 years of West Lancashire Province at a lovely venue.
