Wednesday's community gardeners were treated this week, we were pretty lucky with the weather and there were so many beautiful blooms and first nibbles of harvest.

We were busy preparing for the RHS judges, so I started weeding the path, Pam sorted out a bed of bolted spinach and harry strimmed tound all the beds. It's already looking neater but there's a lot more to do! Huge thanks 😊 If you can make any sessions in June, please do come along! 🌿

Join us for a practical herbal workshop exploring how to use plants and seasonal remedies to support everyday health and wellbeing.

Learn about common healing herbs, how to use them at home, and take away a handbook with simple guidance to keep exploring at home.

We’ll also be making herbal tea blends, infused oils for skincare, and a versatile herbal vinegar to use in food and hair care.

All materials provided. Suitable for beginners.

18th June at 6pm at the Old Courts. Tickets £15 per person, book online.

We're so pleased to be hosting paper making workshop again! This is a really fun sensory session with blended paper, water, paper making frames and our petals and seeds, with fun and full guidance as usual.

I remember doing this so vividly when I was about 8 and have wanted to do share it with others ever since 😍 We did a session in the library in half term, and we had the loveliest messages from parents about it too so please do join us.

Join us in the garden! It's June, and there are loads of jobs and fun to be had. We've also learned our judging date for the annual Britain in Bloom competition; can we get 5 out of 5 this year? They're coming on 29th so if anyone can make any June dates that'd be amazing!

Community Gardening Dates are

We had a great time in the woods this morning, really beautiful and lush after all this rain, and muddy!) 🌿 There was evidence of some recent Balsam bashing which is great to see! Then we spotted and tackled 2 large patches by the brook.

I was pleased to see a small area my family have been working on for 2 years (3rd now) was almost balsam free! It does work!

Just remember to snap right nearr the bottom of the stem, quite a few we saw were just bent and still growing, or not fully pulled up.

June is a good one! 🌿Again, we're doing all sorts of activities, so there are loads of different ways to join in if community gardening is not your thing (yet 😉).

We've got family workshops and a family walk, more herbal goodness workshops, and time in the garden. Most of these are free or low cost.

Plus our new free gardening course for people currently out of work starts on the 18th as well; there are still a few spaces open. Please get in touch.

We had such a fun time at Fur Clemt this week doing leaf monoprinting with families. We tried mixing colours and overlaying textures and all sorts . The sycamore and peony leaves worked really well!

Our last family session at Fur Clemt is 18th June where we'll be making our own paper and adding seeds and petals ❤️🌸. We had some really lovely messages after the session last time from parents, 🥹 it's a really great sensory tactile one for all ages .

The Community Patch CIC is 1 today! That's so cool, this work is really a dream 😍🌿 we celebrated by digging a new wildlife pond at a Making Space residential home in Lowton. They're an organisation supporting people's needs in so many ways, and we were privileged to help out. Even got a few hand shakes and big thanks at the end 😊
