Halton Cancer Support Group Halton Cancer Support Group is a local community charity supporting those affected by cancer Please get in touch.

Widnes & Runcorn Cancer Support Group is a local charity, whose aim is to help and support our local community of Halton. Anyone who has been affected by cancer or by the suffering of a friend or relative is welcome at our Centre. We are open from 10.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday for pre-arranged appointments for listening support, counselling, peer support groups and therapies.

📚 Back to school can be harder than it looks!

As children and young people head back to school this week, many are carrying more than just a backpack.

For those affected by cancer in their family, returning to routines can bring worries, sadness, anxiety, and challenges that are difficult to manage alone.

We have counselling sessions available straight away for children and young people aged 5-18 who are affected by cancer in their family.

Support for Children and Young People 💙🧡

Is a child you know struggling with the impact of cancer in their family?

We provide one-to-one counselling sessions in schools for children and young people aged 5-18 who have an adult in their life affected by cancer. This could be someone who is currently undergoing treatment, living with cancer or who has sadly passed away.

Our counsellors provide a safe, supportive space where children can explore their feelings through creative and interactive activities, tailored to their age and needs.

Through six sessions, we help children and young people build understanding, process emotions and feel supported during what can be a very difficult time.

Sessions are available from September. Contact us for more information or to make a referral

Yesterday was our Annual General Meeting, a chance to reflect on our year from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026.

We were joined by our trustee board and guests from WidnesRotary, Widnes Martial arts - Patron, Karl Martindale, and a special client of our services!
