Join us today at WELL Runcorn Hub for our October Sensory Social, drop in anytime from 9:30am - 3:30pm or join in with us from 12pm when we will be playing some inclusive games, Uno, Chess, Bingo, Cards and more. And yes there will be coffee and cake so pop over and have a chat with us!

If you are new to your sight and hearing loss and never reached out before, please come and see us. You will be made welcome and we can tell you how we can support your journey and how we can best support you.

If you are a regular client and just fancy some company, have chat, a brew or want to join in with some social activities come along to the lovely new hub. Dawn and Lyn will be there 😀

Halton Borough Council kindly popped along to see us to find out more about how we support residents of Halton who have hearing and sight loss.

We are a combined partnership with Vision Support Charity & Deafness Resource Centre who are dedicated to supporting people and their families living with sensory loss to reduce isolation, improve confidence, empowerment and wellbeing.

If you know someone who is living with Sight loss or Hearing loss in the Halton area please let them know that we are here to support them. You can drop in and meet us at Halton Sensory Services 126 Widnes Road, Widnes or we are based in Runcorn at the new Well Hub every Monday afternoon, Thursday morning and Friday morning. We also have activities and support available at the Well Hub every second Wednesday of each month. Join us for our October Sensory Social on Wednesday 14th drop in anytime 9am - 4pm or join in with us from 12pm when we will be playing some inclusive games, Uno, Chess, Cards and more. Out and about across Halton this week! 👋

The Halton Sensory Services team has been busy raising awareness of sensory loss and connecting with local communities at four fantastic events this week.

From market stalls and presentations to interactive workshops, we've had the opportunity to share information and support at the United Utilities Affordability & Vulnerability Summit, Halton Borough Council Adult Social Care Service Development Event, Carers Development Event, and a local GP Vaccination Day.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, ask questions, and learn more about the support available for people living with sight and hearing loss.

Working together to reach more people, raise awareness, and help individuals live independently. 💙

BSL Interpreters Needed for Widnes parkrun

We’re looking for BSL (British Sign Language) interpreters to volunteer during our pre-run brief to ensure our Saturday mornings are as accessible and welcoming as possible to everyone in our community.

The Mersey Gateway Bridge lit up purple last night to mark National Eye Health Week and Vision Support Charity 150th Anniversary. We are incredibly passionate about raising awareness of sight loss. If you are living with sight loss in Halton or you are supporting someone with sight loss we're here to help. Whether you need advice, support, information or simply someone to talk to get in touch with Vision Support. You don't have to face sight loss alone.

What a wonderful day! a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our open day yesterday as Vision Support Charity celebrated our very special milestone - 150 Years. It was fantastic to welcome our community who came along to share our celebrations and to mark National Eye Health Week. Thank you to Mayor of Halton for your support on the day and the bridge light up event.
