Not every cat dreams of a cosy lap or a cuddle on the sofa, and that’s ok.
This National Feral Cat Day we want to celebrate Saffron! 💛
Beautiful Saffron came into our care from a large multi-cat household where conditions were very poor and she had missed out on vital socialisation. She was what we call an ‘inbetweener’ cat – not fully feral, but more comfortable with independence than human companionship.
Finding the right home for cats like Saffron can be a real challenge, as they need understanding people who are happy to let them live life on their own terms. But lucky Saffron struck gold!
Her wonderful new family adore cats but are allergic to them, so an outdoor cat was the purrfect fit! They built Saffron her very own outdoor cat house in their beautiful rural surroundings, and just look at her now! 🐱🌳
Saffron has everything she needs, from a safe place to call home to the freedom to climb trees and explore. In return, she’s helping keep the rodents under control 🐀 Her family gets the joy of caring for a cat without triggering their allergies, and Saffron gets a life where she can feel safe and thrive without human interaction being forced upon her. We couldn’t have asked for a better match! 💕
Saffron is a wonderful reminder that feral and under-socialised cats deserve a chance too. With the right environment and understanding, they can lead happy, fulfilling lives – even if that looks a little different from the traditional pet cat experience.
🐈 Did you know we also offer a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) service?
TNR helps humanely manage feral cat populations by trapping cats, having them neutered and vaccinated before returning them to their familiar territory, helping prevent unwanted litters and improving their welfare.
Every cat deserves a life that works for them. Sometimes, the kindest thing we can do is give them the space to be themselves. There's a cat out there for everyone - maybe yours is a cat like Saffron 💜
