Thank you so much to Dawn Silk and everyone at Guiver Funeral Directors. You were such an important part of my 400-mile bike ride, you cared for Jack, played songs to him, welcomed us every single day, and supported our whole family through the hardest time of our lives. Dawn, you are an incredible person and have become a true friend, and we are forever grateful 💚

Dawn also helps out in the community, so watch this space- Bounce Rochford get involved everyone!

A huge thank you to all the incredible staff at RNOH for the care, kindness, and support you gave Jack throughout his journey. It meant so much to come back during my ride, share his story, and personally thank you for everything you did for him and for us as a family. Thank you also for taking the time to meet with us – it truly meant the world.

Through The Jack Stone Foundation, we hope to give other young people facing cancer the same comfort Jack found in music and writing. Thank you for being such an important part of his story 💚

Last week, RNOH was delighted to welcome Emily Stone (left in the photo), a fundraiser from Essex, during her 400-mile cycling journey in memory of her brother Jack, who sadly passed away last year at just 19 after a brave battle with osteosarcoma.

Emily’s visit was part of a 10-day ride to 15 hospitals and hospices that cared for Jack, with RNOH holding special significance. She shared Jack’s story, expressed deep gratitude to the staff who supported him, and presented a thank-you plaque which will be displayed on Coxen ward.

Her journey marked the launch of The Jack Stone Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping young people with cancer express themselves through music and writing. Emily’s visit offered a sincere thank you to staff at RNOH for the care and support they provided to her brother during his treatment.
