🏑 FOSTER HOME NEEDED 🏑

We are desperately seeking a foster home for one of our lovely Greyhounds.

Camo really needs to leave kennels and get into a home environment.

This would be a temporary foster placement until a permanent home is found. All expenses will be covered.

If you think you may be able to help with this, please get in touch with us.

A bit about Camo....

Camo is a stunning brindle boy, who will be 6 years old in October.
He arrived here in very poor condition and he was quite the anxious boy.

But he really has flourished into the most wonderful, sweet, gentle natured & polite boy. He's very inoffensive, bless him - just a total delight, and he will make a truly wonderful companion. He is a pleasure to look after and will be fabulous to share your home with.
He loves other sighthounds, and would love to share a home with another Hound or two.
He's quite lazy and loves his comfy bed!

He loves his walks and is very good on the lead. He has seen lots of other breeds of dogs and is totally fine with them all, no problem at all. He just minds his own business!

Please, if you can help this delightful, deserving boy get into a home, do get in touch.

Can't believe that our stunning boy, Camo, is still looking for a lovely home.

He really is such a good boy, and so gentle & well mannered. A true delight. He will make a super pet, so please consider him if you have room in your home and heart for another fabulous hound.

He's a lazy boy and just loves his bed.

If no home offers, I would really like to get Camo into a foster home where he can learn all about home life whilst waiting for a permanent home.

Please get intouch if you could adopt or foster.

🏑 I NEED A HOME - 'CAMO' 🐾 🏑

****PLEASE SHARE!****

Introducing our stunning 5 year old boy, Camo. A gorgeous brindle with an equally gorgeous temperament.

This boy is just so lovely, with the most kind & gentle nature. He is a shy boy, who lacks in a bit of confidence, but he's becoming a bit more confident every day and is just such a sweet, calm & polite boy.

He is absolutely no trouble at all, a real pleasure to look after. He is going to be a joy to share your home with, and any home will be graced to have him in it.

Camo needs a home where there is at least one other dog in residence. This greatly helps with his confidence.

He is a perfect traveller, and he has been fine with all the other breeds of dogs he has seen on his adventures.

He loved his recent visit to the beach - as soon as his feet touched the sand, he wanted to run!

If you think you might be able to welcome Camo into your heart & home, please get in touch.

Lots of pictures because he's just so easy to photograph!! πŸ˜† πŸ₯°

Chas & Dave - finally living the good life!

These two boys were living a pretty miserable existence in a kennels where even the most basic needs were not being met. I had to choose which 2 Greyhounds take, which is never an easy thing to have to do, but I chose two of the older big black dogs. Dave being 7, and Chas being almost 8.
They both looked so sad. Dave's eyes were pleading with me to take him.
I named them Chas & Dave, even though they wasn't a 'pair'!
It felt so good to get them back to our kennels on nice soft beds in clean kennels with plenty of good food. They were both underweight, very smelly and in need of urgent dentals - especially Dave, who's mouth was absolutely rotten. I think he had really suffered with his bad teeth.
These boys were both completey shut down, but with lots of TLC and time, i knew it wouldn't be long before their lovely personalities would shine through.
They both ended up needing teeth extractions, and as we thought, Dave lost a lot of teeth. But you could tell he felt so much better once all those bad teeth were out.
Although the boys had not shared a kennel, they were walked together every day here, and were next to eachother in their kemnels & paddocks. Dave seemed to bond closely to Chas, and was always happy to be in Chas' company. Chas wasn't really bothered if Dave was with him or not, but we didnt tell Dave that!
The boys continued to blossom, both physically & mentally.
Then the time came when they were ready to find homes.
Steve & Dianne, who had rehomed several Greyhounds from us over the years, had recently lost their last Castledon Greyhound, so they got intouch to say they were ready to rehome another Greyhound.
I told them about Chas & Dave, hoping they might consider one of these very deserving boys. We arranged for them to come and meet them, which they did, and once they met, Steve & Dianne quickly decided they would adopt them both! How lovely! I was so pleased for Chas & Dave.

Both boys have settled into their new world really well and are loving their new lives πŸ₯°

***** There are so many other Greyhounds desperately needing out of where Chas & Dave came from. But we can only help so many at a time and to keep doing this we need your help. Plesse Adopt, Foster, Donate if you can. Thank you so much *****

In loving memory of Dale Kirk πŸ’™

A few weeks ago we lost a very special member of our team. Dale had been a big part of Castledon Greyhound Rescue for 20 years, and was one of our Trustee's. He was the best Greyhound Dad, and all the dogs adored him. They knew what a kind, special person he was.
Today we say our final goodbye's to Dale.
Dale was one of the best, and he will be greatly missed by us all xxπŸ’”xx
