On Saturday 27/09/2025 we hosted the Province of East Kent at the Essex Shooting Ground, Fyfield for our annual Inter-Provincial friendly shoot.

This year we won with a score of 228 v 220. (Correction: 228 v 208).

W.Bro Phil Walker attended as a Trustee of the West Essex Hospice Appeal and was very pleased to be presented with £315; the proceeds of our raffle on the day. 🎗️

On 12/09/2025 a fabulous crowd of like-minded Freemasons and guests took part in the well-attended 2025 National Masonic Clay Shooting Championships hosted by the Province of Sussex.

We are proud to say that the Essex Masonic Clay Shooting Association (EMCSA) won the competition!

We entered a team of 10 and Dave Purches, Clive Fry & Ollie Bullman had the three highest scores, pulling off a superb victory. 👏👏👏

Clive’s individual score also won him the Masonic High Gun trophy but the Super Vet category was also open to guest shooters and as one of the guests had the same score as Clive there was a count-back and the trophy was awarded to the guest shooter.👏

Many of our team (including Dave, Clive & Ollie) are members of Macnab Lodge No. 10017 (the premier Essex shooting & fishing Lodge) so they also claimed the top Masonic Team trophy.

All were presented with their trophies by the RW ProvGM of Sussex.
