Dogs Trust Basildon

📣 Calling all frenchie fans! It’s a french bulldog fiesta right now at DT Bas!

We’ve had so many messages about the number of French bulldogs we currently have up for adoption 💔 and we do seem to have an influx of this lovely little breed right now, with 7 looking for homes and many more on our waiting list.

French bulldogs are wonderful little dogs, with fabulous characters, who are guaranteed to raise a smile. Sadly however, as they are brachycephalic (flat-faced), they regularly face health complications which can be quite costly.

If, after some research, you are interested in adopting one of our current frenchie residents then please send us an application: https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/rehoming/dogs?page=0&sort=NEW¢res=ESS&liveWithCats=false&liveWithDogs=false&liveWithPreschool=false&liveWithPrimary=false&liveWithSecondary=false&noReserved=false&isUnderdog=false¤tDistance=1000 💌 We have so many of these little souls still waiting for forever homes 💛

Who tuned in for episode 3 of our new series of Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake last night?! 🎥🤩

We met Rachel, the blind frenchie, who doesn’t let her lack of sight hold her back; Monica, the loveable lurcher pup, who’d never seen the outside world before; and Biggie, the bulldog cross, who came to us through no fault of his own with a suspicious lump on his tail.

There may have been a special guest appearance, from another young furry friend of Pete’s too 👀 wasn’t Rodney fabulous?! SUCH a clever boy 💛

We hope you enjoyed this week’s ep - but which story was your favourite? Let us know! 👇

And if you missed it never fear - you can catch all of the latest episodes, plus all previous series, over on streamonu 🙌

Do you remember Grandad Graham from last year’s Christmas special of Pete Wicks: For Dogs Sake?🐶
We wanted to share some new, wholesome pictures of him thriving in his forever home!

In his episode we saw that he came from a local kennel, rescued by the council from a poor welfare situation. He likely had never been on a lead before.

With some TLC, a dental appointment and lots of fuss here from Pete, we saw Graham head off to the Oakfield Oldies in Dogs Trust Shrewsbury before he was then adopted by his forever family.
Here he is with his new partner in crime, Chester.

Congrats Grandad Graham, we love to see it 😍
