📣 A Message from The WoW Project

After seven incredible years of uplifting, celebrating and supporting the women, girls and families of Whitworth, The WoW Project will now be taking a pause.

Since 2018, WoW has grown into something truly special — from serving over 800 meals and supporting families through difficult times, to hosting community events, recognising local achievements, fundraising, donating, signposting and creating opportunities for connection and kindness. Every moment has been driven by passion, community and a genuine wish to make a difference.

This year has brought significant challenges behind the scenes, and the decision has been made to step back for a while.

This pause is not the end of WoW, but a necessary moment to reflect, reset and protect the wellbeing of those who have given so much to this project.

During this pause, we ask for kindness, understanding and patience 🩷

We are taking names now for people to enjoy our spectacular Christmas Day Lunch and Festive Cheer!!

This year the meal will be held at The Ashcroft in Whitworth or we can organise a meal to be delivered directly to their door on Christmas Day.

October is Menopause Awareness month and throughout the month you can attend various Webinars covering a range of Menopause topics. These webinars have been made possible by the cooperation and partnership of libraries across the North West of England and have been funded by Libraries Connected.
Each week, we will provide the link to the upcoming webinar, beginning with "The Perimenopause and Menopause Journey" featuring Dr. Catherine Munro on Tuesday, October 7th, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Questions will be accepted before and after this session and must be submitted in advance. If you would like to submit a question please send it to us via a direct Facebook message by Saturday 4th October.
