Whitstable Sea Cadets We are Whitstable Sea Cadets and part of the UK's oldest nautical youth charity. First formed right here, in Whitstable 1854!

The UKs Oldest Sea Cadet Unit

Monday 1900-2100
Wednesday 1900-2100

Junior Section 10-12 years old

[email protected] The Sea Cadets offers young people across the UK amazing opportunities for personal development - by learning new skills and working in teams - we offer an environment where young people find new confidence and inspiration. Today, 14,000 young people based in 400 units in towns, cities and ports across the UK are challenging themselves and developing new skills, like sailing, boating and rock climbing - supported by 9,000 volunteers. Our biggest supporter is the Royal Navy, plus we receive corporate support from the commercial Maritime sector. Our aim is to inspire young people through nautical adventure and challenge to help give them a head start in life

🌊 WHITSTABLE IS BACK ON THE WATER! 🚣‍♂️

What a fantastic week of rowing for our cadets during the summer holidays!

A huge well done to all the cadets who took part. It has been brilliant to see you getting stuck in, developing your skills and gaining some great experience, rowing hours and qualifications along the way. 👏⚓

This week, Whitstable joined forces with Canterbury and Herne Bay Sea Cadets, making for a fantastic opportunity to train together, learn from each other and enjoy time on the water.

🇬🇧 Whitstable Sea Cadets – Remembrance Parade 2025 🇬🇧

Today, the cadets and staff of T.S. Vigilant, Whitstable Sea Cadets proudly took part in the Whitstable Remembrance Parade and Service.

As Officer in Charge, I want to personally thank every cadet and the staff who turned out so smartly and represented the unit with pride, respect, and professionalism. Your conduct and bearing throughout the parade and service were outstanding – a real credit to yourselves and the Corps.

It’s an honour to see our young people taking part in such an important act of remembrance, paying tribute to those who gave so much for the freedoms we enjoy today.
