[email protected] The Sea Cadets offers young people across the UK amazing opportunities for personal development - by learning new skills and working in teams - we offer an environment where young people find new confidence and

inspiration. Today, 14,000 young people based in 400 units in towns, cities and ports across the UK are challenging themselves and developing new skills, like sailing, boating and rock climbing - supported by 9,000 volunteers. Our biggest supporter is the Royal Navy, plus we receive corporate support from the commercial Maritime sector. Our aim is to inspire young people through nautical adventure and challenge to help give them a head start in life

🇬🇧 Whitstable Sea Cadets – Remembrance Parade 2025 🇬🇧

Today, the cadets and staff of T.S. Vigilant, Whitstable Sea Cadets proudly took part in the Whitstable Remembrance Parade and Service.

As Officer in Charge, I want to personally thank every cadet and the staff who turned out so smartly and represented the unit with pride, respect, and professionalism. Your conduct and bearing throughout the parade and service were outstanding – a real credit to yourselves and the Corps.

It’s an honour to see our young people taking part in such an important act of remembrance, paying tribute to those who gave so much for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Lest We Forget. 🌺

🚢 At the Port of Dover, tugs play a crucial role. They’re capable of battling stormy weather and preventing potentially millions of pounds’ worth of damage. 🌊

To help the ferry navigate the wind, the tug attaches itself to the ship and moves alongside with a tight line to keep the ferry safe. ⚓

The tugs are so powerful that one wrong move could knock the ferry even further off course. 🚨

In the latest episodes of Dover 24/7: Britain’s Busiest Port, we’ve seen how essential they are and how much precision and power it takes to keep everything running safely.

📺 Don’t miss the new episode tonight at 8pm on Channel 4!
