Come to the coast to learn and explore with Nemo's Beach School, offering fun outdoor educational sessions at the coast for all the family. Chief Mermaid Rachael is a Marine Biologist and has worked in outdoor education since 2010. A trained Beach School Practitioner, keen scuba diver and beginning Primary Teacher Training in September, Rachael aims to bring the coast to life through fun outdoor e
ducational sessions for children 3 - 14. The sessions will be based at local coastal points between Blyth and Tynemouth. Sessions will help children's development in aspects of Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 & 2 National Curriculum, as well as support learning outside the classroom. Beach Schools value and encourage independence and teach a respect for the local environment, encouraging children and families to become coastal guardians. Sessions will involve team building, rockpooling, interactive touch pool sessions, sand art, den building and much more! Sessions will last for 2-2.5 hours and cost £2.00 per child. Birthday Parties can also be catered for as well as group sessions (max. group number: 20). There will be two sessions a week throughout the summer holidays.
