Tonight, we hosted the District Officer for a recreation evening. From the sounds on the main deck, it was clear that our ship's company enjoyed themselves. Thank you, Ma’am, for a most enjoyable evening.

Courses are for Cadets and Marines Cadets 12+. Only courses with an * are accommodated, the others are day running.

Please bear in mind that Cadets will be going on the train to Port Edgar without a staff member. Rail tickets will be provided.

Tonight is a rec night so all cadets and staff are in civvies, no uniform required!

‼️RNP Tonight‼️

Tonight is our Royal Naval Parade, where our Area Officer Cdr Farmer, along with our District Officer Lt Cdr Miller, attends the unit to review our training provision and unit activity. This is an important date in our calendar as it only happens once every 2 years.

Arrangements for this evening:

⚓️ All Cadets, Juniors, and Marines Cadets to arrive between 18:00 and 18:30

⚓️ Cadets to wear No1 uniform if they have it, and bring their PCS uniform to change to. Those without No1 to wear PCS.

⚓️ Marines Cadets to wear MTP.

⚓️ Juniors to wear Junior uniform with brassard.

⚓️ CFAVs in No1s, Marines CFAVs to wear No1s and bring MTP.

Please make sure your uniforms are ironed and well presented with polished boots.

Friends and family are welcome to come from 20:00, we’d love it if you’d come and support the Cadets!

‼️NORTHERN AREA SUMMER CAMP ‼️

This year’s camp will be held at CTC Boddam from Sunday 26 July to Friday 31 July 2026.

Bookings open on the 1st of May and close on the 22nd.

Lots of activities are on offer, see the poster below for more information.

The cost per cadet will be £150.

If you have any questions, comment below or come see me in the Unit. There’s a new QR code on the notice board so you can let me know about courses you’d like to book on.

If you’d like to apply for a place, contact me in the usual way or use the new QR code. You’ll need to choose 4 options and order them in preference, and should get to do two of them.
