๐ŸŒฟ Whiteley Sustainability Group โ€“ Meeting Tomorrow ๐ŸŒฟ

Just a reminder that our next Whiteley Sustainability Group meeting will take place at Barn Farm Community Centre on Wednesday 20th May at 7pm.

This is an open meeting and a session to generate ideas for the group over the next year.

Please come along, share your ideas, and help shape what we do next as a group. Everyone is welcome. ๐ŸŒฑ

Thank you to everyone that attended our bat walk on the 6th May and sorry to those who couldn't get a spot!

It was a great evening learning about our nocturnal neighbours.

Nick Knight from Hampshire Bat Group led the walk and kindly lent us all bat detectors (see attached pics) translating the bats into audible sound for our lowly and limited human ears!

We found common pipistrelles and soprano pipstrelles in North Whiteley, 2 of the 17 Bats Species living in Hampshire.

Nick kindly came and gave a talk last year on Bats and it was great to get out and see how they survey bat populations.

We will have new events coming soon so stay tuned!

Our next meeting is on Wednesday 20th @ Barn Farm Community Centre

This is our open meeting to generate ideas and discuss future projects for the group, everyone is welcome :)

Big clean event happening tomorrow 9:40 am to 11:30 at Whiteley Meadowside and also Barn Farm Community Centre.

Some litter pickers provided as well as cake, as a reward, on return.

Families welcome, weather looks good. Enjoy our nature whilst helping it ๐ŸŒž
