Yesterday’s National Remembrance Fishermen’s Day was a deeply moving and heartfelt occasion.
Together, we stood as one—remembering the brave fishers who never returned home, and honouring lives lost at sea but never forgotten.
There was something incredibly powerful about seeing our community come together in such a meaningful way. Each note sung, each word spoken, and each flower scattered carried love, respect, and remembrance. ❤️⚓
A huge and sincere thank you to everyone who made the day so special:
- 🎶 Joss Cameron and Amy for such touching music that spoke to the heart.
- 🙏 Rev Suzie Fletcher for leading a beautiful and thoughtful service.
- ⚓ Sea Cadets for their dedication and support.
- 🏛️ MP John Lamont for standing with our community.
- ☕ Old School Café & Ebba Centre for their warmth and hospitality.
- 🌸 Occasions of Eyemouth for the stunning flowers.
- 🎤 Cockenzie and Port Seton Community Choir for a truly emotional closing, singing their hearts out as flowers were gently laid upon the water.
Watching those flowers drift away was a poignant reminder of the many loved ones held in our thoughts. A moment filled with reflection, unity, and deep respect.
This day was made possible by the strength of our community—coming together to remember, to support one another, and to keep the memory of our fishermen alive.
Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and shared in this very special tribute. You helped make it unforgettable. ❤️
