Please share. Some of the weekly things to enjoy around Whitehead in June 2026. Circus skills, Irish dancing, lawn bowls or Cha-cha-cha - there's lots of groups you can join.

Please share. Here's a list of some one-off events and bi-weekly clubs and classes on locally in June 2026. (Another post will list weekly clubs and classes.) There's the Islandmagee Tractor & Truck Run, an Ulster sailing championship, the Santa Fun Run, Midsummer Marine Magic, the 3rd birthday of Repair Café Whitehead and more to enjoy.

Paper versions will be pinned to our noticeboards.

Many more events might yet be announced. We'll share some new items on our page as we find out them.

The dementia UK Admiral Nurse clinics will be returning to Carrickfergus Nationwide branch on the 23rd and 24th of June.

Location- Carrickfergus Nationwide Branch (14 Market Place, BT38 7AW)
Date- Tuesday 23rd June and Wednesday 24th of June 2026

A wide range of topics can be covered in appointments, from anyone concerned about their memory (pre diagnosis), family carers or people living with dementia who require information/advice/support on symptom management, discussing social care support / legal issues / finances right to end of life symptoms and grief. People may book to avail of emotional support, whether that is a person living with a dementia diagnosis or a carer who is caring for someone living with dementia.

Appointments are 45 minutes in length and there are 5 slots per day. You do not have to be a Nationwide customer to attend.

Bookings can be made on our website or by texting the word 'APPOINTMENT' to 07478 724000 (please note this number does not accept incoming calls, it is text only), and we will call the person to support with making a booking.
