A huge thank you to Nick and his team at the White Hart in Whitchurch for organising such a fantastic quiz night last night.

The event was incredibly well supported, everyone had a great time, and it was wonderful to see so many people leaving with smiles on their faces and plenty of laughter shared throughout the evening.

We would also like to thank Catherine and Russell for all their hard work in helping to organise the event. A special thank you goes to the winning team, who very generously donated their winnings back into the fundraising pot.

We still need to do a final count, but we’re delighted to say that the event raised approximately £250 on the night. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event.

Every penny raised will go towards getting the pool back up and running for everyone in the community to enjoy.

Thank you all once again for your support – it is greatly appreciated!

☀️ QUIZ NIGHT FOR A GREAT CAUSE ☀️

Join us at the The White Hart on the 9th June at 7.30 (booking a table is essential) for a fantastic Quiz Night in aid of the Whitchurch Community Swimming Pool 🏊‍♂️

Every penny raised is going directly back into the pool to help get it reopened and running again for our community.

With the warm weather arriving over the next week, wouldn’t it be amazing to see the pool back in use again soon? Your support is helping make that happen.

We’ve got two fantastic fundraising events coming up over the next couple of months — and we’d love your support! All information can be found on the attached photos.

9th June – Charity Quiz Night

Hosted by the White Hart

Come along for a fun evening of quizzes, laughs, and community spirit, with money raised going directly towards restoring the pool.

🌿 July – Woodland Garden Party

📍 Glebe Bungalow, Blosswood Lane

Enjoy a beautiful summer gathering in the woodland garden with friends, refreshments, and activities — all in support of getting the pool back up and running.

Every pound raised will go towards restoring and reopening the pool so it can once again be enjoyed by everyone in our community. 🏊‍♂️💙

We want to say a huge thank you to Lucy Follett Maitland from Fulling Mill for kindly donating eight jars of honey, with all money raised from the sales going towards the Whitchurch Community Swimming Pool.

Christine Brown has kindly offered to be the collection point for the honey.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Mayor of Basingstoke & Deane, Colin Phillimore, for hosting such a fantastic quiz last Friday night – it was a brilliant event and thoroughly enjoyed by all!

Colin is also hosting Overton United vs Saints Legends this Friday, 17th April. All the details can be found on the attached photo – it promises to be another great occasion.

🚧 Exciting progress at Whitchurch Community Swimming Pool! 🚧

Building work has officially commenced, and we’re thrilled to share that JLS Carpentry & Build were on site yesterday and have already made an incredible start today.

As work gets underway, we’ve uncovered layers of old paving beneath the current surface—likely dating back to the pool’s original days! It’s fascinating to see a bit of history revealed as the transformation begins.

You can already see just how much progress has been made in such a short time, and we’ll be keeping you regularly updated every step of the way.

We know you’re just as excited as we are to watch everything come together!
