We’ve been down by the harbour watching the Penny Hedge Ceremony!
We do this every year - and we love it - because it reminds us that the little building blocks of our place-based culture are what brings us together. It doesn’t matter what brought you to Whitby - whether you came here by land or sea. If you are here, you belong here, and by witnessing things like this together, and sharing our cultural heritage, we all have a little more in common ❤️🌱🌱🌱
