📍 Whitby Surf School – On the beach near the RNLI Lifeguards/Beach huts
🕙 From 12pm – whenever the kids are sandy enough!

Join the Whitby Dads Society for a relaxed, family-friendly day at the beach! We’ve got free use of deckchairs so you can kick back while the kids explore the Beach Box – filled with buckets, spades, footballs, hula hoops, and games.

It’s the perfect chance to catch up with other dads, let the kids run wild, and make the most of summer by the sea.

Just bring snacks, suncream, and your best dad jokes. 😎🏖

Hi everyone! I’m sorry to say that due to weather conditions over the weekend we are going to postpone the beach hangout. I can’t imagine it would be great fun in the rain so Whitby Surf School have proposed a new date of 2nd August down at the huts.

Happy Father’s Day from Whitby Dads Society

To all the dads, stepdads, grandads, carers, and father figures in our community — this day is for you.

Thank you for showing up. For the school runs, the bedtime stories, the hard talks, the laughs, and the quiet support that often go unnoticed. Being a dad isn’t always easy, but it’s one of the most critical jobs. You’re doing better than you think.

We’re also thinking of the dads who are no longer with us. Their love and lessons stay with us always.

So here’s to the men holding their families together in big and small ways, who have you and are appreciated more than you know.
