740 (Whitby) Squadron, ATC Supporting young people to develop, achieve and belong. The Air Training Corps is a voluntary youth organisation supported by the Royal Air Force.

Whitby Air Cadets is a youth organisation helping local young people in Year 8 and above build confidence, resilience and leadership through aviation, adventure and teamwork. The ATC is one of the country's leading youth organizations.

Only 50 days to go until Scarborough Armed Forces Day!

Come and join us in celebration and recognition of the incredible work our armed forces community does to keep us safe.

The squadron will be there with our stall showcasing interactive games, goodies and information on the Royal Air Force Air Cadets not to mention we will be participating in the final march past of the day.

New cadets….Are you ready?!We’ll see you tomorrow. 🚀

To everyone joining us after our Open Night — welcome to 740 Squadron. Your first parade night is tomorrow at 7pm, and we can’t wait to get started.

✅ Wear your own clothes
✅ Bring energy and enthusiasm
✅ Be ready to meet new people and get involved

And if you missed Open Night, don’t worry — it’s not too late. If you’re in Year 8 or above and fancy giving Air Cadets a go, come down for 7pm tomorrow. Take the plunge — you might just find your thing.

It's that time again...

We are delighted to announce our next open evening will be on Friday 22nd May from 7:30pm.

Come along to our cadet centre on Coldyhill Lane and experience a taster of life in the Royal Air Force Air Cadets and the fantastic opportunities open to our young people!

Hear from our staff and existing cadets, learn about our educational syllabus and get a glimpse of some of the awesome activities available.

No sign up is necessary, simply turn up on the evening and we'll answer any questions you may have about joining our organisation.

We hope to see you there and if you know someone who may be interested, don't forget to share this post!

Whitby squadron officially welcomed 7 of our junior cadet into the Air Training Corp after making their cadet promise with the squadron Chaplain and were enrolled into the Squadron.
