Home-Start HIGH PEAK Welcome to Home-Start High Peak. We are a volunteer based organisation offering support, friendship and practical help to families with young children.

Home-Start High Peak has been supporting local families since 2005, growing successfully through the efforts of a team of committed volunteers under professional guidance. Over that time, our unique brand of non-judgemental emotional and practical support means we have been invited in to thousands of homes, have been trusted to provide advice and relied upon to provide confidential help when it’s

needed. Whether a family needs support because they are struggling to cope with a child’s disability or economic hardship; whether there’s been a relationship breakdown or postnatal illness; whether a parent is having problems dealing with a child’s behaviour and routines or a family is feeling isolated and unable to connect with their local community, we’ll be there. 📍 If you have an outpatient appointment with our trauma and orthopaedic team at Royal Derby Hospital, on or after Monday 24 November, you may need to visit the team in their new location, near the front of the hospital.

🦴 Fracture clinic is remaining in its current location, near A&E, but the 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹, and you can access the clinic directly from car park 8.

➡️ If you need support with finding or accessing the new location, please talk to a member of staff, the route will be signposted and we have wheelchairs, and our volunteer buggy service available to help patients.

🚑 Moving the clinic will help us to provide a better physical space for our A&E colleagues to care for patients over winter.

The Met Office have now issued an amber warning for rain for Derbyshire from midday today until midnight. Please take extra care if you are out and about.

🚗Roads in Derbyshire could be affected by surface water flooding so please drive to the conditions, slow down and leave room between you and the car in front of you
💦 Never drive or walk into floodwater, even if it appears shallow – it could endanger your life.
💬 Households and businesses in known flooding areas are encouraged to take steps to protect their properties and sign up for flood warnings and alerts.
