Whaley4Wards

Whaley4Wards is a sub-group of Whaley Bridge Town Council and made up of both elected members and the public. Please get in touch. We can't do it without you.

Since it's formation, W4W has been involved in 100s of small projects around the four wards of Whaley Bridge. We bring regeneration projects of our own to fruition and work with other volunteer and community groups to assist with their plans. We always welcome new volunteers, ideas and support.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR LITTER-PICK THIS SATURDAY
As many many people already know, the Whaley 4 Wards group has been keeping Whaley looking lovely for many years by identifying maintenance and improvements that need doing around the village and then carrying out that work with teams of volunteers, supported by resources and funding from Whaley Bridge Town Council.
Top of this month's agenda is a session of litter-picking, which will take place on the morning of Saturday 28th February.
If you would like to help, please meet at 10am outside Footsteps Whaley Bridge
We have some litter-picker devices available, but if you have your own grabber, please bring it along. Gloves are recommended.

WHALEY 4 WARDS SPRUCING UP FOOTSTEPS CAFE
This week our team of intrepid volunteers are tackling the woodwork around the windows at Footsteps Whaley Bridge.
Joe, Bill and Ian (pictured L-R) are giving the frames and sills a bit of TLC and a lick of fresh paint to spruce them up and make them look smart in the spring sunshine.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TAXAL CHURCH YARD CLEAR-UP
Could you spare some time between 10 and 1pm on Saturday 26 October to help with maintenance at Taxal churchyard?
The Whaley4Wards volunteers are putting together a working party to help clear vegetation from Saint James' Church, Taxal, on Whiteleas Road SK23 7DY.
(What3Words ref: quack.encoding.bearings).
If you can assist, please come along, ideally bringing your own gardening tools for cutting brush, and wearing stout shoes and working gloves.
