🚗🚌 PARKING & TRAVEL – WEYMOUTH BEACH MOTOCROSS 2026 🚲🏍️

Travelling to Weymouth Beach Motocross this weekend?

Please plan your journey before setting off, particularly on Sunday when Weymouth is expected to be very busy.

If you are travelling by car, Weymouth Park & Ride will be one of the cheapest and easiest ways to get to the event, especially for families and groups.

Weymouth Park & Ride
Mount Pleasant, DT3 5HJ

Saturday 10 October
Buses approximately every 15 minutes

Sunday 11 October
Buses approximately every 20 minutes

Service 2 will pick up from inside the Park & Ride and take you into Weymouth.

Travelling into town:
Look for Kings Statue – this is the stop you want for the seafront and event.

Returning to the Park & Ride:
Use stop K2 at Kings Statue and look for a Service 2 displaying “Littlemoor via Park & Ride”.

Parking at the Park & Ride is FREE – you only pay for the bus.
A Park & Ride ticket for up to 5 people costs £6.50 return, and concessionary passes are accepted.

🚶🚲 PLEASE CONSIDER ACTIVE & SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL

If you live locally, please consider walking or cycling to the event where practical.

Using public transport, cycling or walking will help reduce the number of vehicles trying to reach the seafront and ease congestion around the event.

🏍️🚘 MOTORCYCLES & CLASSIC CARS – SUNDAY

Our Weymouth Bike Night Special and classic car and motorcycle static display will also be taking place around the Jubilee Clock on Sunday.

Those attending as part of the motorcycle or classic car display should follow the event arrangements and directions for the designated display area.

This is separate from normal public car parking.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – PAVILION CAR PARK

The Pavilion Car Park will be closed to non-riders on Sunday.
Please do not travel to the Pavilion expecting general public parking.

Motorhomes will be diverted away from the Pavilion and should use suitable alternatives such as Overcombe, Lodmoor or the Park & Ride.

For other suitable motorhome parking locations, use the Dorset Council car park finder and select the motorhome option:

Please allow extra time for your journey, follow event and traffic signage and, wherever possible, avoid driving directly into the seafront area.

🏁 Racing from approx. 1pm
⏱️ Finish approx. 4pm, subject to racing and tides

Weymouth & Portland Lions Club are looking for volunteers to help at Weymouth Beach Motocross

🙌 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – CAN YOU HELP? 🏁

We’re looking for volunteers to help us deliver Weymouth Beach Motocross 2026 across Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October.

With around 25,000 spectators expected on Weymouth seafront, it takes a fantastic team of volunteers to make the weekend happen — and even a few hours of your time can make a huge difference.
We need help with:
🏁 Marshalling & crowd guidance
📖 Programme sales
💛 Bucket collections
🛠️ Event set-up & pack-down
🤝 General event support

You can help for a morning, afternoon, full day or across both days.
✅ No previous experience needed
✅ Full briefing provided
✅ Hi-vis and radios supplied where required
✅ Refreshments and support throughout

The Weymouth & Portland Lions are here at The Springhead Pub in Sutton Poyntz, and there’s still plenty of fun to be had! 💛💙

Our Cuddly Dog Tombola is proving very popular! 🐕🎉 Come along, have a go, and you could win yourself a cuddly dog.

🐶🦁 We’re off to the Dog, Sausage & C***r Festival! 🦁🐶

The Weymouth & Portland Lions will be there this Sunday, 30th August, at the Springhead Pub, Sutton Poyntz!

We’ve given our cuddly Lions the day off for this one… but don’t worry — we’ll be bringing along our Cuddly Dog Tombola instead! 🐕🎉

Come along, have a go, win yourself a cuddly dog and enjoy what promises to be a fantastic family day out, with lots of fun, food, drink, music and activities for everyone.
