Lydia gave us a talk this year which many members enjoyed!

Hello,
To commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day and VJ Day, Elmbridge Museum is putting on an exhibition ‘Echoes of War’ from 4th February to 27th February 2026. To support the display, we have commissioned a sound artist to produce a replica Morrison shelter. Laid upon this will be a tablecloth with badges. When touched these will play a local story.
On Saturday 10th January, we are hosting a stitching workshop and inviting local residents to drop in and help us construct this ‘talking tablecloth’. Please see the attached poster. The event is held at the Weybridge Hub. If you’d like to attend, please just turn up on the day. No booking is required.

Any member can join each and every subgroup, even if say gardening isn't their passion.

The Weybridge WI raised £158 for our charity of the month the Mary How Trust for Cancer Prevention . Thank you to our generous members for buying plants and raffle tickets. This will make a fantastic contribution to this great cause of health screening. These are our lucky winners of vouchers donated by Weybridge Garden Centre, part of Blue Diamond Garden Centres and Longacres Bourne Valley Garden Centre

You and your friends & family are invited to join us for a group visit to Jane Austen’s House & Chawton House on Sunday 9th March

Timings are:
Depart Weybridge @ 8.45am
Arrive Chawton @ 9.45am
Jane Austen House tour at 10am (1.5hrs)
Chawton House Tour (self guided) + gardens
Depart Chawton @ 3.30pm
Arrive Weybridge @ 4.30pm

Cost
The cost of the trip is:
£44 per person for non WI members
£26 per person for Weybridge WI members

This covers entry to both houses and transport by coach. There are 37 places available.
