We have a place for your child in 1st Weybridge Cubs!
1st Weybridge Scouts has been a proud part of the Weybridge community since 1907.
Each week during term-time our three sections meet so that Scouts, Cubs and Beavers can have fun, learn and socialise. Activities range from knot tying, cooking, woodwork, camping, learning about the world, exploring the local area as well as pretty much any interesting and fun activity you can think of! Register your child at https://www.onlinescoutmanager.co.uk/waiting-list/1st-weybridge-brooklands-own-waiting/45facc83-11aa-4a06-bb43-bc33adf70b5c/apply
In order to release these places, we currently have one Leader who needs help from three adult volunteers to help lead our Cubs section (children aged 8-10 ½, Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 pm). Sessions run for 5/6 weeks between the school holidays when there are no meetings.
No Scouting experience or children at Scouts is needed to take up any of these roles and are open to anyone over 18. They are also an excellent opportunity for those completing Gold Duke of Edinburgh or thinking of going into teaching or adoption. Through volunteering with us, you will also get a place for your child or grandchild at 1st Weybridge. All adult volunteers go through enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance for work with children as part of their induction process. We can offer you a friendly team and close support, a Christmas party, sociable planning sessions and a chance to be kept young!
If you have a sense of fun and adventure and, please reply to [email protected] or register here https://www.onlinescoutmanager.co.uk/waiting-list/1st-weybridge-brooklands-own-waiting/45facc83-11aa-4a06-bb43-bc33adf70b5c/apply
If you’d prefer to volunteer alongside other Leaders, that’s absolutely welcome—we can arrange a rota so the commitment is shared and flexible. Come and join the adventure!
