🎄WETHERBY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS – CAN YOU HELP?🎄

Wetherby’s famous Christmas lights and trees don’t just appear by magic - it is all thanks to some amazing local volunteers ✨

Between now and the November light switch on, you will see volunteers in hi-vis vests marked ‘Wetherby Christmas Lights Volunteer’ working around the town! 👷

But we need more helping hands 🙌 for any of the following :
🔌 Helping to test or repair lights
🛠️ Checking, repairing or replacing tree brackets
🌲 Unwrapping, thinning down, and decorating the Christmas trees
🚚 Help lift, shift, or drive
🪜 Climbing ladders to help position decorations
👷 Acting as a pedestrian safety marshal whilst trees and displays are hoisted above the pavements

Leeds Local Plan
⏰‼️ Comments Deadline: midnight on 15 Sept

Leeds City Council is consulting on the Local Plan 2022–2042. This is YOUR chance to have a say before decisions are made.

In Wetherby, there is tremendous developer interest, despite the fact we are already seeing significant growth:
🏘️~800 new homes already under construction Approach.
✍️Proposals also coming forward for 130 additional homes Approach, up to 3,000 homes (Cattal) and 210 homes Park (Harrogate Road)
