Thank you to everyone who came out to support our quiz last night in aid of Blood Bikes Cumbria. We will confirm the exact total once known, but it looks like a great amount raised. Thanks to all the teams for playing, buying raffle tickets and donating, to Paddy, Robin and Gary for giving up their time as quiz master and to run the bar, and to James, Dave and Les for representing Blood Bikes on the night. ⭐️ 🩸🏍💰

Unfortunately, there was an incident at the village hall this morning where a vehicle collided with the building. Although there is damage to the render and brickwork and extensive repairs will be needed in the coming weeks, the hall is able to remain open and operating at the present time for room hires. The trustees are grateful that no one was injured and that the damage was not worse.

A polite reminder that the disabled parking spaces at Wetheral Village Hall are for blue badge holders only and the badge should be displayed on your dashboard. We are unfortunately seeing more incidents where people are using the spaces as a convenient pick-up/drop-off point at the hall. Please be respectful even if the car park is not full, and leave the spaces available for those who need them.
