✨ TabsFest Moments ✨ 💛 SINGLE IN THE HO! 💛

At Tabsfest this year was Single in the Ho. Festival goers could purchase a yellow wristband, signalling they were open to meeting new people, making new friends or perhaps finding a little festival romance!

Even better, every £2 wristband sold raised money for Tabitha’s Smile. The initiative created plenty smiles throughout the day.

✨ TabsFest Moments ✨

About a year ago, Tabs’ Mum Hayley quietly gathered some of Tabs’ favourite clothes and passed them to Margaret Smith of MagsBags, a lovely friend from the Appledore Holiday Club days. Margaret simply said she would make something special.

Fast forward to two days before TabsFest, when Margaret arrived at Mike and Hayley’s door carrying this beautiful quilt. Crafted from the fabrics, colours and memories of Tabs’ clothing, stitched together with extraordinary care, kindness and thought.

We were so proud to display Tabs’ Quilt at TabsFest, where so many people stopped to admire the detail, share a memory, or simply stand for a moment and take it all in.

The quilt feels very much like Tabs herself - colourful, joyful, creative and full of heart.

Thank you Margaret for creating something so precious. 🩷

✨✨ SPARKLE LAUNCH & FIRST LIVE PERFORMANCE ✨

Some moments stay with you long after the music stops.

On Saturday evening at , Sparkle was performed live for the very first time.

Written by Yazzy and Tabs, and now available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music, Sparkle has always been more than just a song. It’s a piece of Tabs, her spirit, her courage, her thoughts, her story, her kindness and the light she brought to so many people.

As took to the stage to sing the song she created with Tabs, joined by Hayley (Tabs’ mum), and Alastair (Tabs’ brother), Sparkle was brought to life by the incredible musicians of Fool Custardy Acoustic and friends. Ali Darryn and Harry performed alongside Jo Grant on violin 🎻, Andrew on drums, Dave on keyboard and Nathan and Ryan on guitar 🎸. Backing vocals were beautifully provided by Alex, Kathryn, Darryn and Hayley.

There were smiles. There were tears. Arms wrapped around shoulders. Hearts full of memories.

For those few special moments, everyone gathered was united by the love, laughter and kindness that Tabs brought into the world.

✨ TabsFest Moments ✨

At TabsFest, the wonderful young people and team from Exclamation Theatre group Westward Ho! presented Tabitha’s Smile with an incredible donation of £115, all raised through their own fundraising efforts.

Exclamation was a place Tabitha loved. A place filled with friendship, laughter, encouragement and confidence. Somewhere she truly belonged.

We were incredibly touched to hear that they have created The Smile Award in Tabitha’s memory, to be given each year to the most helpful and supportive member of the group. We can’t think of a more fitting tribute.

Although they weren’t able to perform at TabsFest this year, they wanted to share a message for Tabs:

“We hope you’re having a great time in heaven and we miss you so much.”

Thank you for celebrating Tabs and for helping her smile live on in others.

Some people run marathons. Cain decided to walk across Japan!! 🇯🇵

Over thousands of kilometres, through cities, mountains and everything in between, Cain took on this extraordinary challenge and raised £600 for Tabitha’s Smile along the way.

We’re incredibly grateful that Cain chose to support Tabitha’s Smile on such a remarkable journey and Hayley was delighted to receive Cain’s donation on behalf of the charity at .

✨ TabsFest Moments ✨

Picture the scene, a warm sunny Saturday evening, a festival field full of fabulous people and the unmistakable sound of Queen echoing across The Big Sheep. A huge thank you to Majesty, the UK’s leading Queen tribute band, for closing out TabsFest spectacular fashion on Saturday night. From the first chord to the final encore, they had the crowd singing every word and dancing with friends.

There was something glorious about seeing generations come together to celebrate timeless music under the North Devon sky.

✨The face painting station was pure magic this weekend and we have Jules & Denise to thank for it. From delicate florals and shimmering butterflies to glitter dusted smiles, their artistry brought so much joy to the festival. 💖

Talented and endlessly patient, they spent the day transforming faces into works of art.

Thank you both for giving your time, talent and sparkle to support Tabitha’s Smile. You added great colour, laughter and a touch of festival gold dust to the day.
