🎭 Panto Perfection! 🎭
Today, Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and our amazing volunteers from 1st Westgate-on-Sea Scout Group enjoyed a fantastic performance of Sleeping Beauty at the Malthouse Theatre.
A huge cheer for Rusty, one of our adult volunteers, who was selected to take part on stage as F***y Fantastic’s Friend and Captain Bin Man an unforgettable moment! 👏😂
Massive thanks to Joseph Gardner Hodges for taking time to chat with us and allowing photos with his incredible cast after the show. They were truly amazing and made our day extra special ⭐
We’re already looking forward to the next panto adventure! 🎉

Today at the Christmas Light Switch-On, 1st Westgate-on-Sea Scout Group raised a massive, spectacular, jingle-bell-shaking £507! 🤩💚

A HUGE thank you to the amazing people of Westgate-on-Sea (and those who wandered in from “beyond” 👀✨). Your kindness, generosity and enthusiasm absolutely made our day!

We really hope you loved our Tombola, had a giggle with Spin2Win, and enjoyed tempting fate with our Lucky Numbers game! 😄🎁
(We saw some VERY excited winners… and maybe a couple of competitive parents too. 👀😂)

Your donations mean the world to us and will go straight towards helping local young people grow, learn Skills4Life, and have bucketloads of fun along the way! 🚀🌲

1st Westgate on sea scout group are proud to be taking part in the Sunken Garden Society Eco Fair!

Join us tomorrow at the Sunken Garden Eco Fair 2025, a day filled with fun workshops, inspiring talks and eco ideas for all.

Visiting the Eco Fair is FREE with a number of ticketed talks and workshops with a price range for tickets, as Sunken Garden Society is a not-for-profit grass-roots community group, lead and run by volunteers. All ticket fees will go towards the cost of the Fair and the upkeep of the Garden, please choose the option that you feel suits your situation best.

🚨3 Peaks Challenge Update🚨

Both Ben Nevis and Scarfell Pike are complete✅️ despite the horrific weather conditions.

On advice of the national trust they were advised not to go to the summit as visability is extemely poor and it would not be safe due to the very strong winds and torrential rain but they got as high as they possibly could.

Now they are on their way to Snowdon🏔

🌧️Rain, Rain, Go Away... Our Scout Kit Needs a Place to Stay!🌧️

Last night’s weather gave us a soggy reminder of just how important it is to keep our equipment off the floor and high and dry! 🏕️⚜️

That’s where you come in, amazing community! 💙

📣 We’re on the lookout for sturdy plastic pallets to help keep our gear safe and sound in storage. These tough little platforms are perfect for protecting tents, tools, and all our Scout-y treasures from the damp and the drizzle.

If you or your business have any spare plastic pallets you’d be willing to donate, we’d be SO grateful!
