Somer and Biss Mountaineering Club For mountaineers, climbers and hill walkers in BANES and West Wiltshire Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 with a love for the outdoors.

Somer and Biss Mountaineering Club was formed in 2014 by a group of friends to create more opportunities to get out and active with other like minded people in the local area. Our current committee members all live along the River Somer (Midsomer Norton to Bath) and the River Biss (Westbury to Bradford-on-Avon), which gave us our name, although we accept new members from anywhere in the local area

. Our main activities are equally split between mountaineering, hill walking, rock climbing and social meets, catering for all levels of abilities including beginners. In the next year we aim to become affiliated with the BMC and the YHA which will give us access to a range of benefits from insurance to training courses and discounts at outdoor stores.
