How beautiful do our pots look.

They have been planted with Dahlias, Marigolds, Chrysanthemums and Dianthus.

Over the next few weeks these should fill out the pots with lots of colour, and be very inviting for all the pollinators. 🐝 🦋

Our hanging baskets have all been finished and are now proudly displayed along the front of the home. Our residents have worked really hard to create the baskets and we are looking forward to seeing how they grow.

This years Trust in Bloom theme is friendship, and we discussed what that meant to us all.
A lot of our residents said it was about connections and talking to people.

This is exactly what the residents have been doing whilst creating the baskets.

We also learnt that the colour yellow is associated with friendship so lots of yellow flowers have been included this year.

This week we have made a start on our hanging baskets.
Reg, Barbara and Gill all helped to create a pair of lovely baskets.

These are now hung out the front of the home and in the next week or so will be joined by some more as we carry on creating them.

We hope to see as many of our family members at this year's Wild West themed summer party.

Please do let us know if you would like to come by 6th July.

We will also be holding a raffle and water or wine table as our fundraising for the reaidents amenity funds. If you have any items suitable for a raffle you would be happy to donate, or any empty or full wine bottles (screw tops) please do pop them in to the home before 1st July.

Our pond area is a focal point of the home, a very popular place for residents and visitors to sit and enjoy watching the fish .

They are especially popular to watch when its feeding time. 🐟

This was a course of 5 sessions over 10 weeks where they have learned a lot about leadership and management skills to help them develop in their roles.

Last week we were joined by the lovely Rebecca, she sang a range of songs from 50s, 60s and 70s.

The residents really enjoyed singing along, there was even some dancing. 💃 🕺.

Thank you for joining us during dementia action week, music and singing is such an important part of people's lives and something we try to include daily here at the home.
