NEW ARRIVAL 💕

Say hello to this handsome boy. He was handed in to the vets as a stray because he had a leg/ hip injury 💔

They needed a rescue to fund and take on his care and here he is.

Unfortunately he’s had to have his leg amputated but cats do fine on 3 legs but it’s obviously a huge upheaval for him.

It’s another £700 on our already huge vet bill but we are working flat out to fundraise!

Yesterday he left the hospital & is settling into his foster home nicely & will get lots of love & care & all the things he needs.

He was called Houdini but since we already have a Houdini we will think of a new name for this handsome boy 🥰

Hello!!! Mulan is up for adoption clearly you all haven’t heard because she’s still here & surely people aren’t mad enough not to adopt Mulan 🥰

She’s perfect 😍
Funny
Cuddly
Affectionate
Playful
Likes to do battle with a hot water bottle cover 😂

Mulan is about 3 years old & came here after having a tough time after giving birth and her kittens died 💔

She’s now been spayed so such things won’t happen again & has been microchipped.

She’s getting her vaccines this week and then will be all ready to go.

Mulan would need access to a safe garden so no busy roads. She would make a perfect family cat with children or with an individual or couple who have lots of time to spend with her (she does love a cuddle 🥰 )

She’d be happy with other cats and while not been tried with a dog I can’t see it being a problem with a cat friendly dog with the right introductions.

If you think you could give this perfect girl the 5 star home she deserves then please visit our website & fill in our adoption enquiry form here https://thecathouserescue.com/cats-for-adoption-west-yorkshire/

We don’t leave mama behind here. Ever! We will track her down if we have to & sometimes she might disappear for a bit so it’ll take a while but the first question when someone tells me about kittens is where is the mum!

They aren’t just wrappers to the candy!

Also, if you don’t get mum it’ll all happen again and so what are you even doing!

Yesterday Amy went back to get mummy of the kittens. She was due to go to Glasgow but unfortunately it looked like she was pregnant & we were concerned with the stress of travel & the fosterer could only do one cat so we took LuLu instead.

Mummy cat is safely in foster care with us.

Another cat turns up at the same house to have kittens too so we will be going to get her as well so she can be spayed.

Huge thanks to Chris Pets 2 Places Pontefract for transporting all 25 cats & kittens over to Glasgow Pet Collective for us so they can be re homed.

This is our trustee Amy not Sarah (who’s talking to you now from a FB post 😂) bc I’m no where to be found once videos get involved 😂 but fortunately Amy is braver than me!

25 more cats and kittens rescued 🥳🥳

25 more cats and kittens most rescued from the streets of Bradford & some unwanted litters are all on their way up to Glasgow Pet Collective to go into foster & be re homed.

There is a ridiculous number of cats and kittens right now on the streets & in Glasgow while there is a cat overpopulation problem everywhere it’s not as bad as Bradford.

They actually have people wanting to adopt kittens over there but not always able to find ones to adopt.

But over here we have more kittens than good homes!

So we devised a plan to partner with another rescue charity in Glasgow to bring kittens from Bradford to them to find homes.

This way we aren’t just trapping them and taking them to already over run local rescues who just end up switching one cat in need for another.

This way we actually create additional spaces and additional homes.

Today 25 cats and kittens are on their way over!

As they are a newer charity we are helping with funding costs so if you are able to donate to their care then please donate to our go fund me here https://gofund.me/a9dab4653

COULD YOU FOSTER A CAT?

We are looking for foster homes for adult cats. We are closed to new intakes but we have a couple of cats we are already committed to that need to go into a foster home.

Here’s who needs a foster home:

🐾 HOUDINI He’s a perfect, friendly & lovely boy who’s 11 years old. Due to his age he’s having no luck finding a home so he will need a INDOOR foster home who have time to give him with no other pets while we wait for a family for him.

🏡 A 3 legged adult cat who’s timid. He needs an experienced foster home as he had surgery only a couple of weeks ago. Must be experienced with cats to foster this one and needs a quiet stress free foster placement.

🐾 A female cat who’s timid but can be stroked. Needs time & patience to come around so will need a quiet foster home with experience of shy/ timid cats.

You will need to be in the Bradford or North Leeds areas or Wakefield.

We provide all food, litter, supplies, vet care etc….

You will need a spare room if you have other cats or dogs in the house & the cat MUST be kept INDOORS at ALL times.

If you think you could help then please message our page & tell us a bit about yourself & what area you are in. We will need to come out & do a quick home check to see your set up & discuss what type of cat you’d like to foster.

Thank you 💕
