LOOKING FOR HOMES šŸ” Available from 29th June. Rescue in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

April, Joy & Grace are all looking for their forever homes (or servants depending on how you look at it). They are approx 11 weeks old. As they were allegedly found dumped we don’t have an exact DOB.

Grace is the most confident and could go on her own but ideally April & Joy could go as a pair.

Grace (right) - is the snuggly one who’s so gentle & loves to play. She’s exactly like her mummy Martha who’s the most gentle cat I’ve ever seen.

Joy (middle) - the more timid of the 3. Joy loves to have a cuddle too but also loves to charge round & play.

April (b&w) - is the cheeky one. She’s a lap kitten & loves a lap cuddle.

All would need to go to a home with another resident cat unless you’re adopting in a pair.

All kittens will be fully vaccinated and will be spayed & microchipped before leaving. They will be ready to go from the 29th June.

If you’d like to meet these girls then please fill in the adoption enquiry form here https://form.jotform.com/243225760779061

Big vet trip today with 10 cats & kittens in for first vaccinations. We had Morocco in with her 5 kittens here ā¬‡ļø along with Mummy Martha and her 3 girls.

Funny thing was Morocco’s kittens were crying in the car & their mummy showed no interest whatsoever (Morocco has washed her paws of her kittens šŸ™ˆ)

But… mummy Martha was calling back to the kittens and trying to see if they were ok. And they’re not even hers! šŸ˜‚

Martha is just the sweetest & kindest girl 🄰

More vet trips next week with 4 in for first vaccinations & adoption visits to arrange šŸ˜…

LOOKING FOR A HOME

Our gorgeous boy Frank has come such a long way since he arrived with us. He’s come from being shy and hissing to being a chatty boy who loves his head rubs and pushing into me for fusses šŸ˜

He’s been neutered and chipped and is now starting his vaccinations so he is now looking for his five star forever home šŸ”

We believe Frank is a young cat in the 2-3 age range.

He’s timid when he first meets people so he will need a family that’s understanding and gives him time to come out of his shell but when he does he’s such a sweetheart šŸ’•

Frank will need access to the outdoors once he is ready to go out so he cannot be homed or on close to any main roads. He’ll need to be kept inside for the first 6 weeks.

He will be ready to go next weekend after first vaccination but you will need to take him back to Chantry Vets for his second vaccination in 3-4 weeks time. This cost of this is covered by us. Alternatively we can arrange for second vaccination to be done at your local vets but you will need to cover the additional cost.

If you’d like to come and meet Frank or have any questions then please fill out our adoption enquiry form here https://form.jotform.com/243225760779061

LOOKING FOR A HOME šŸ”

This gorgeous boy is now looking for a 5 star forever home with a very special family.

Jonathan came to us in a bad way after being traumatised but he’s now calmed down and is very very slowly learning to trust again but it is slow progress.

We are looking for a forever family for Jonathan who have a quiet home where he can slowly learn to trust people again. He will need a lot of patience and understanding.

Jonathan is est 8 years old plus and has some scarring on his eye from what’s believed to be an old injury. He does not require treatment as there’s nothing that can be done. It’s only scarring and he lives a perfectly normal life with it.

He does require a special diet of Royal Canin Gastro food as he can get an upset tummy. Unfortunately this is another reason why cats like Jonathan get overlooked.

He’s been neutered and microchipped and will begin vaccinations next week. He will need to be brought back for 2nd vaccinations at Chantry Vets in another 3-4 weeks. The rescue will cover this expense.

You will be required to sign to say you have seen Jonathan’s vet notes and we do now encourage you to share those with your own vet if you want them to verify anything.

He’s such a sweet boy with so much potential if someone would just give him a chance šŸ’•

If you’d like to know more about Jonathan then lease fill in our enquiry form here https://form.jotform.com/243225760779061

Our gorgeous girls Martha & Morocco have now wrapped up Mum duties & both had successful spay ops today.

No more kittens for these 2! šŸ˜

Everything’s been delayed a bit as I’ve been taking a break from social media. I personally don’t use it & only come on it to share updates on the cats. Even that I’ve had to take a break bc some of the judgemental nastiness we get on here gets tiring.

Anyway, we will have lots of cats up for adoption very soon I promise. They are worth the wait! Frank is my new BFF having gained his trust & if you are VERY lucky you may be able to adopt him šŸ˜

Been quiet the last few days as Joy & her siblings have been taking up a lot of time. I was getting worried about Joy as she’s just turned 8 weeks and still not on solids! Her sisters were on solids weeks ago.

I’d tried all the tricks but she was having non of it!

I was going to call the vet tomorrow to get her checked over when Joy decided she was going to wean herself on her mums Purina biscuits šŸ˜‚

I switched it out for baby kitten ones & she’s all for it šŸ˜‚ But only if it’s Purina šŸ™ˆ

07/05/2026

We have been made aware of an individual who is claiming to be falsely fostering for our rescue & offering to take cats in & foster for us. This woman is known to be a pathological liar.

To be clear.

Under no circumstances are fosterers or volunteers allowed to reach out & offer rescue spaces or to foster on our behalf & non would be stupid enough to do it. Only myself (Sarah) is allowed to authorise a cat coming into the rescue. This may seem harsh but there is a system for intakes or it’d all turn into chaos.

We will never reach out via Facebook posts or otherwise offering space. We only reply to requests sent to our email info@ thecathousetescue. com or via our verified FB page (look for the blue tick).

If anyone reaches out claiming to represent us or foster for us then please alert us immediately & screenshot the message if you can. If you’re unsure just send us a message direct to the verified page or email info@ thecathouserescue. com

Please be careful about who you hand cats over to from Facebook groups & if anyone claims to be from a rescue verify that information.

We will seek to take legal action against those who falsely claim to be from the rescue & will report to the police for fraud.

05/05/2026

I’ve been trying to avoid sharing this story but we’ve been once again put in such a difficult situation that all I can do is share the facts & ask for help (again! 😭).

The other week we ended up caring for 3 cats, 3 dogs & 2 snakes! I kid you not.

These animals were taken in following an urgent animal welfare concern raised to us by a third party & reported to the police. 3 other cats had been taken in by us already from here. Unfortunately the police went in & removed the remaining animals without checking with myself (the manager) that this person had the authority to represent the charity or explaining what was involved. What they should have done was wait for the RSPCA who handle these situations.

It ended up in a very difficult situation were I felt like we had no choice but to act in good faith to ensure the animals received immediate safety given the initial call to the police had already been made & they’d already been to the property.

As a rescue we have had to cover vet fees & boarding costs for a week for these animals which we were not at all prepared for while an investigation took place. This has left us with over £1,000 in boarding fees, vet costs & other food costs for all animals. While this was supposed to be handled by the police we have ended up footing the bill for these animals.

This has already been on top of 2 emergency vet visits, 3 other cats that’d come from the same place, dentals as well as routine neutering for our other residents in April which had already been a very expensive month!

We ended up being stuck in the middle with police telling us one thing & the RSPCA another. The sheer incompetence of the police has been beyond belief. The RSPCA were correct & have taken over & sorted things out. Sadly they can’t help with the bill as they did not initiate this.

Originally I was going to keep quiet about this but I’m fed up of this being shoved onto me & the stress it’s caused for the last week few weeks has been atrocious, while everyone else just washes their hands of it. Not to mention without doing an appeal we are really going to struggle as we could have in no way predicted this!

Thankfully the RSPCA have assisted & have sorted out the animals.

Just the bill that’s fallen on a small charity with a tiny budget! I’m having to be very careful about what I say but angry doesn’t even begin to cover it frankly as we’d been getting back on track. The police officers I spoke with were not only incompetent in my opinion they were shockingly unprofessional.

So that’s the story of our stressful past week! That’s why we’ve been trying to get everyone to vote in the last STARS ballot so we could pay off our vet bill without having to try explain this story or do another appeal as people have already been very generous this month & I’ve really been trying to avoid having to ask for help.

Since not enough people voted if you are able to support us, even a small donation would directly help us cover these costs and help us keep our doors open & allow us to keep on helping cats & kittens like Martha & her family ā¬‡ļø

If you can’t afford to donate we completely understand. If you’re anything like us you’ve been robbed blind at the petrol station already! But if you could like & share, you may know someone who can help.

Donations can be made via pay pal to paypal.com/gb/fundraiser/charity/5815253
or via BACS to
