Lovely day yesterday and great to see Sheila and Louise who come all the way from Kent to visit us regularly to look at the horses they sponsor at
The Racehorse Sanctuary.
The old boys really loved the extra attention as you can see.Nothing to do with the extra carrots!

Welcome to The Racehorse Sanctuary. Based in West Sussex, we provide a safe haven and second chance for thoroughbreds after their racing careers come to an end. We assess, rehabilitate and retrain former racehorses, helping them move on to new lives as riding horses, companions or, where necessary, permanent residents at the sanctuary. For horses that cannot be rehomed, we provided lifelong care, ensuring they can enjoy a safe, happy and fulfilling life and retirement. The sanctuary’s work is supported entirely through donations, sponsorship, fundraising and its dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

If you would like to support the work we do, you can do so here, or check out our website for more information.

🐎Text a donation to us - You can TEXT donations to The Racehorse Sanctuary. To donate £5, text HORS001 to 70970.

🐎Become a friend - Some horses can never be rehomed, because they’re simply unsuitable for rehoming or require regular specialist attention. Help them have their forever home with us.

🐎Donate online - Help secure a horse’s future with a one-off or regular donation to The Racehorse Sanctuary & Rehoming Centre on our JustGiving page. It is a quick, safe, secure and includes Gift Aid.
