Greek Night at the Swan Taverna 🇬🇷

What a fantastic weekend as The Swan reopened after three weeks of renovations! The fresh new colour scheme has made the pub feel brighter and more spacious and the expanded restaurant space looks amazing. With a new dedicated drinking and socialising area, everything flows better than ever. Thank you for all the lovely feedback, Remember it’s Pie and a Pint this Tuesday Or! Just 24 hours to go until The Swan on the Green reopens following it’s Dry January and a three-week refurbishment.
Doors open at 5:30pm tomorrow evening, come and see what we’ve been up to. We look forward to welcoming you back.

The Swan closed on 5 January and we’re hoping to reopen on Friday 23 January.
Doug and his brilliant team of builders have worked wonders this week. Rotten, woodworm affected floorboards have been removed and replaced with new rafters and flooring. The plumbers are on site fitting the new heating system and David Knutton is progressing well with the electrical work.
The wall between the dining area and storeroom is coming down, upstairs ceilings and walls are being freshly plastered and new fire doors have been fitted at the top of the stairs to create a fire lobby.
A huge thank you to everyone on site for their hard work and dedication, especially given the very challenging weather. The Swan is really starting to take shape and we can’t wait to welcome you back.

After a wonderful Christmas period celebrating all things festive, we now move into Dry January, traditionally a quieter time of year for the trade.
We have therefore decided to take the important decision to close from Monday 5 January while we carry out a number of significant improvements to both our bar and restaurant areas.
The work is expected to take just under three weeks and we look forward to welcoming you back on the evening of Friday 23 January.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We are excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share the results with you and welcome you back to the Swan.
