HELP US TO HELP THE COMMUNITY!
Our charity supports all members of the community on Mersea Island whether babies, children, teenagers, adults or senior citizens. We give out grants to various organisations and organise lunch and coffee clubs for residents to enjoy one another’s company.
One off the most popular activities is the Sat morning Bric a Brac and Coffee which takes place every week at our Community Hall in Melrose Road 10-noon. Residents can potter around the Bric a Brac and then enjoy a hot drink with a bacon roll or slice of cake.
THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Our nucleus of Saturday volunteer members has diminished over the past few weeks due to retirement, illness and hospital treatment. We need a rota of 4 members each week and are now at the point where we have no cover for sickness and holidays and are at risk of having to close some Saturdays. We are appealing for more people to come forward to offer their services for 2 or 3 hours on a Sat morning, maybe one a month,
