3 of our archers were selected as members of the Eastern Area Team for the Scottish Intercounties 2026! The team performed amazingly in both the ranking and H2Hs, and as a result placed first, by only 0.1 of a point!

Saturday night was the Scottish Archery awards ceremony and we are very pleased to announce that some of our members were presented with awards on the night:

Gilbert Jamieson was recognised for his never-ending commitment to the club, through coaching, organising the field, admin, life advice and every other wonderful thing he does every day!

Robyn Geddes received recognition as a member of the Records subgroup for their continuing efforts to improve the Scottish Records. She also received a date bar for representing Scotland.

Frank Hynds received a date bar for representing Scotland.

The real star of the evening was Nathan Macqueen, who not only won archer of the year, but was also inducted into the Scottish Archery hall of fame. He brought a tear to the eyes of everyone in the room when receiving his prize and was a very worthy winner.

Congratulations to everyone, and I hope we see more members in next years awards too!

- Sarah Macleod U21 Ladies Recurve 🥈
- Frank Hynds 50+ Open Recurve 🥈
- Karen Gray Barebow Women Unclassified 🥉
- Robyn Geddes Ladies Compound 🥈 and Scottish Champion 🏆

There will be no shooting at Armadale Academy on Wednesday 11th March due to an event at the school.

The sports hall at Armadale Academy is having maintenance carried out next week. As a result there will be no archery on the 9th, 11th or 13th of February.
