We are replacing the VC chairs with some foldable ones and are looking for new homes for the old ones!
There are 24 black padded, very comfortable and stackable chairs.

Happy to give them all away to another hall or venue…or if you want a few for your own home then please get in touch. If you can spare a donation to the VC even better!

Everyone has been enjoying the weekly VC pop up cafes on a Friday morning -

in January the Knot hosted them,

in February it was the turn of the West Linton and Carlops Community Development Trust (the last one for this month is tomorrow February 27th from 10am)

And on the 13th March the West Linton and District Historical Association will be opening the archives and sharing some of their wonderful material while you have a cuppa.

We would love to make the pop up cafes a regular event - so…would any other local group or individual like to run one in the VC ?
You could use it as a fundraiser or to let people know what you do. Get in touch if you might be interested….[email protected]

The VC will be letting the delegation know how we achieved our Community Asset Transfer.

The VC will be letting the delegation know how we achieved our Community Asset Transfer.

The Community Council and West Linton and Carlops Community Development Trust are hosting a special event tomorrow morning in the Graham Institute for a delegation from across Ireland. The group is coming to find out about our local community, and how we developed the West Linton Place Plan, and how this is helping shape plans for the future. Members from Sustainable West Linton and District, The Community Development Trust, the Knot, the Village Centre, and the Community Council will take part and show our visitors what we are doing and how.
Afterwards, we are inviting the delegates to take a wander round the village to see for themselves - to visit the Knot, the Post office and local shops, the community orchard and, of course, the Village Centre where there is our weekly coffee morning with delicious scones and cakes!
We look forward to welcoming the group to the village!
