πŸ’“ World Kindness Day πŸ’“

Today we celebrate the everyday heroes who act without hesitation when others are in danger. From brave marine rescues to moments of courage on land, in fires, or medical emergencies β€” kindness can truly save lives.

πŸ’™ If you know someone who’s stepped forward to help another in distress, we’d love to hear their story. The Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society has been honouring acts of courage and humanity for over 180 years β€” and your nomination could help us recognise the next unsung hero.

Today, we pause to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country β€” at sea, on land, and in the air.

As we honour the bravery and sacrifice of the fallen, we reflect on the courage of those who risked their own lives to save others. The Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society was founded on that very principle β€” recognising acts of heroism and humanity in the face of danger.

At 11am, we join the nation in two minutes of silence.

β€œAt the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.”
