Chopstick, Matchstick and Toothpick 🥺🥺

Last week their finder unfortunately found a dead adult hedgehog near her home, today one of these tiddlers was wandering around the garden on their own 🥺 coincidence? Maybe! However when one of our fantastic volunteers manage to find the nest, there were 2 more hoglets and no sign of mum 😭

Without even seeing them, we made the decision to bring all 3 of them to the rescue where they’re safe! With Toothpick weighing 116g, Matchstick only 107g and Chopstick being the biggest at 125g- we’re super glad we made this decision 🤍

They’re staying in an incubator sponsored by Joanne and Mark Evans 💜

How has this sweet girl still not found her forever home? 🥺💜

Although Calippo was a little shy at first, she has completely come out of her shell and is now the most affectionate girl, constantly demanding attention and happily climbing all over you! 🐱💕

Calippo came into our care with her seven kittens, who were sadly all suffering badly from cat flu. After everything she’s been through, we think it’s finally time for Calippo to find a loving home of her own, somewhere she can spend her days feeling safe, loved and purring away. 🏡✨

🐱 Can live with other cats
🐶 Cannot live with dogs
👶 Can live with children aged 13+

Calippo’s pen is kindly sponsored by Cat Sitting by Kirst. 💜

RABBITS: THE PET EVERYONE UNDERESTIMATES 💔

❌ “They’re great starter pets.”
They’re not. Rabbits are complex, exotic animals with very specific welfare and medical needs.

❌ “They’re good pets for children.”
Most rabbits don’t enjoy being picked up or cuddled. They’re prey animals who need calm, respectful handling and their care should always be an adult’s responsibility.

❌ “They’re cheap pets.”
Absolutely not. Exotic vet care, vaccinations, neutering, insurance, quality food, housing and emergency treatment can cost thousands over their lifetime.

❌ “A hutch is fine.”
A hutch is not a home. Rabbits need permanent access to a large, secure space where they can run, jump, stretch, forage and behave like rabbits.

❌ “One rabbit is easier.”
Rabbits are social animals. Human attention does not replace the companionship of another compatible rabbit.

❌ “They’re easy and low maintenance.”
They need daily cleaning, feeding, enrichment, health checks and careful monitoring. Rabbits can become critically ill incredibly quickly and often hide illness until they’re very unwell.

❌ “They only live a few years.”
With proper care, rabbits can live 8–12+ years. They are a long-term commitment.

Rabbits aren’t starter pets.
They aren’t cheap pets.
They aren’t children’s pets.
And they definitely aren’t hutch pets.

They are intelligent, complex animals who deserve far more than the bare minimum 🐰❤️

Brothers, Bigs and Churro are looking for their forever home together 🐰

The boys were born at the vets after their mum was found dumped in a cardboard box 💔

They have since been raised here since they were just a week old. They are friendly, inquisitive and fluffy chaps who will need regular grooming!

They are castrated, vaccinated and microchipped.

Tw***ie came into rescue at just 6 weeks old and, sadly, has never really known a proper home outside of rescue life.

She loves attention, enrichment and playtime, so would suit an active home or potentially another energetic cat who can match her enthusiasm.

Tw***ie does have a non-contagious skin condition which is currently well controlled. Stress may trigger a flare-up in future, although she may never have another. Any related treatment would be considered pre-existing and therefore unlikely to be covered by insurance.

She’s a happy, lively little cat who really deserves the chance to finally experience a stable, loving home of her own.

📆 She is 11 months old

Tully and Tahfiti are a beautiful pair of older girls looking for a home together where they can enjoy their golden years. They are 9 1/2 years old.

Being fluffy ladies, regular grooming is a must. Tahfiti unfortunately arrived with severe matting and has had to be shaved, so her new family will need to keep on top of her coat as it grows back.

Tully, is very overweight and will need to continue on a sensible weight-loss plan. They are currently eating Applaws Tuna, and ideally they should be fed separately so Tully’s portions can be properly controlled.

Tully is also quite the bossy sister and definitely likes to be in charge, even poor Tahfiti gets told what’s what! Because of this, they cannot live with other cats.

As they’re 9½, we have carried out routine blood tests on both girls and we’re pleased to say everything came back normal 💜

They may be older, but these two still have plenty of life and love left to give. We’d love to find them a quiet, comfortable home where they can be thoroughly spoilt together.
