We are delighted to welcome four new Trainee Instructors to the West Bromwich Fire Cadets family!

A huge welcome to:

Rhianna, Alex, Jordan and Will

Following a successful recruitment and assessment process, all four have now joined the team and will begin their journey as Trainee Fire Cadet Instructors.

Volunteering as a Fire Cadet Instructor is an incredibly rewarding role, and we are excited to see each of them develop as part of our instructor team. Their enthusiasm, commitment, and passion for supporting young people were evident throughout the recruitment process, and we know they will be a fantastic addition to the West Bromwich Fire Cadets family.

West Bromwich Fire Cadets is looking for Trainee Instructors to join the team!

No previous instructor experience is needed — full training is provided.

🗓 Commitment: One evening per week (Fridays, 6–10pm), plus occasional events

On Friday, our cadets did something alittle different. They learnt about high rise fires.

To start of, cadets had ago at rolling a Cleveland coil. This is where traditional hose rolling is changed so that deployment of the hose can be quicker and easier to work with in limited space.

As this was a first attempt for many, the results were outstanding. Cadets were taught about how a hose incident would be sectioned and the different objectives to be completed in each.

We then had time to run a small high rise exercise to put it all into perspective.

Well done to all the cadets that attended.

One of our instructors Amy is running the London landmarks half Marathon on the 12th of April in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity
