Lights, camera… life skills! ✨

Day one of the Bound 4 Stage Summer Intensive Week is officially underway and the energy was electric!

We caught up with freelancer to talk all things performance, and one thing was crystal clear, this programme isn’t just about learning to act. It’s about confidence, communication, and skills that follow our young people way beyond the stage.

From first nerves to first breakthroughs, day one set the tone for a week of growth, creativity, and stepping into the spotlight. 🌟

Here’s to nine months of transformation, starting right here 👏

If you fall you’ve got to get back up!

Skating isn’t just about tricks. Every fall and every comeback teaches young people something school can’t, confidence, resilience and the courage to keep trying even when you eat concrete😂

Last Monday’s final skate jam was incredible Spray painting, games, a live DJ and skate demos.

Thanks to for the amazing skate demos and motivational message🙌

Also a huge shoutout to for having us🤝

That’s what Coal & Concrete is all about, giving young people the space to fail, get back up, and grow 💪

Happy International Youth Day!

There used to be places you could just be. No entry fee, no minimum spend, no app to download.

Now the youth club’s shut. The library’s cut its hours. Even the local park doesn’t feel like it wants you there anymore.

One by one, the free spaces are vanishing, and somewhere along the way, belonging started coming with a price tag. Want to sit down somewhere? Better be ready to buy something first.

We asked young people what International Youth Day means to them. What they told us is only the beginning of the conversation.

Because that’s the point of this day, not just to mark it, but to talk about it, to push for something better. 💬

Due to the hot weather warning tomorrow, we are shifting our session times slightly earlier in the day to keep everyone cool and safe out of the midday sun! ☀️🍦

Updated session times for tomorrow:
📍 Harry Mitchell Park: 10:00am – 1:00pm
📍 Hydes Road Park: 10:00am – 1:00pm

Another highlight from our Play Day roadshows was our Next Gen team bringing out our brand-new mobile space! 🚚✨

It was fantastic to hear so many positive comments from local families. We were able to set up games outside, run digital play sessions inside, and ask children and young people what we should name our new mobile space! 🎮📱

Bound 4 Stage is BACK with a FREE 1 week Theatre Summer Intensive 🎭

This is your chance to dive into a fully funded, 9 month youth led theatre programme, creating a full production from concept to stage 🙌

Micah became the first person to get all three balls into the orange holes at our wiffle ball game! 🏆
