🌿 🦋 🚶♀️ Thank you to everyone who took part in, or helped to promote, Discover Nature fortnight! 🦅 💚 🐝
The fortnight aimed to inspire people in 23 local parishes to visit the internationally significant Avalon Marshes reserves, and connect to nature in their local communities - through active travel (walking, cycling, wheeling) and sustainable transport, including the 668 bus to the marshes centre.
Around 38 activities took place, of which half had a connection to Step, Ride, Thrive. We've received wonderful feedback from participants, speakers and facilitators. Forty seven pictures were also shared with us as part of our photography competition - winners to be announced soon!
“I attended two activities during the Discover Nature fortnight. My comments are entirely positive. The Butterflies talk and the Strawberry line talk were both excellent and inspiring. I thought the whole initiative was brilliant in so many ways. My sincere thanks to all involved”. Event attendee
