Another fantastic Sunday at Warriors Life Skills! 🥋🐉

We are incredibly proud of how well all of our students are progressing, especially our newer members who have settled in brilliantly and are showing great focus, confidence, and determination every week.

Today we spent some time practising our demonstrations for the upcoming Rockwell Green School display. Everyone worked hard, listened well, and represented the values of Warriors Life Skills brilliantly. We can’t wait to showcase some of the skills, confidence, and teamwork our students have been developing.

A huge well done to all of our students for their effort and commitment. Keep up the great work – you’re all doing amazing! 👏

While martial arts training can be valuable, personal safety outside the training hall is a different challenge altogether.

Physical skills are only one part of staying safe. Awareness, good decision-making, confidence, communication skills and the ability to recognise danger early are often what help people avoid trouble in the first place.

Under stress, the body experiences an adrenaline response which can affect judgement, coordination and decision-making. This is why realistic training, scenario work and developing good awareness are so important.

Whether faced with a difficult situation involving one person, multiple people, or the threat of a weapon, the goal is not to “win” a fight – the goal is to get home safely.

At Warriors Life Skills we teach practical self-protection principles alongside martial arts skills, helping students develop confidence, awareness, resilience and the ability to make better decisions under pressure.

Hi everyone 👋

My team and I have started martial arts, core life skills & self-defence classes in Wellington on Sunday mornings at Rockwell Green Village Hall.

These sessions are focused on helping children of all ages become strong, confident & capable, while developing real self-defence skills in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

We also welcome adults of any age who are interested in learning new skills and improving themselves, no matter what stage of life they may be at 😊

We welcome all abilities, including those who are neurodiverse, and aim to create a positive environment where everyone can learn at their own pace.

🥋 Life Skills (7+ to Adult) – 10:30

🐉 At Warriors Life Skills, our Little Dragons classes are designed to help young children build confidence, focus, discipline, coordination, and respect in a fun and supportive environment. Through exciting games, beginner martial arts movements, teamwork activities, and basic self-defence awareness, children develop important life skills while staying active, making friends, and enjoying learning together — before progressing into our more advanced martial arts and self-defence classes when they are ready 🥋
