West Country Scribes - Taunton Calligraphy Group New members are very welcome, both beginners and experienced calligraphers. We are affiliated to the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society [CLAS].

We are a small and friendly calligraphy group who meet every month in Wellington, Somerset (usually 3rd Saturday each month) for tutored workshops and self-practise days. Welcome to the West Country Scribes page

We are a small calligraphy society based around Taunton and West Somerset, aiming to develop our own skills and support calligraphy locally. We meet at Rockwell Green Village hall, Wellington, for regular workshops through the year, and we normally exhibit our work every other year. Our last exhibition was a great success, demonstrating a wide range of calligraphy techniques and creative styles. We welcome new members who would like to take the opportunity of improving their skills, and understand how daunting this can be, especially for beginners. You can be assured of a warm welcome with plenty of encouragement.
