Niamh's Next Step CIO Childhood Cancer Charity

Niamh's Next Step CIO Childhood Cancer Charity Niamh's Next Step Childhood Cancer Charity proudly funds vital research into the rare and aggressive Niamh passed away peacefully in her mummy and daddy's arms.

On Sunday 20th May 2012 our hearts were broken when our beautiful, brave little girl lost her 18 month battle with the childhood cancer, Neuroblastoma, aged just 5. We miss her more than we could ever explain but are so proud of the way she touched so many peoples hearts and the legacy she has left behind. We have set up this charity in Niamh's memory in the hope of helping other families fighting

this vile childhood cancer and to raise money to fund vital research into neuroblastoma which is not currently funded by the NHS or the UK Government. It is only through charities like ours that it will be possible to find a cure into this vile childhood cancer. Help us Fight Neuroblastoma

We are very proud to be funding vital research into Neuroblastoma but we still need your help and support. Neuroblastoma is an aggressive cancer that mainly affects children. Around 100 children are diagnosed with Neuroblastoma each year in the UK of which only around 30% will survive. Our goals are to raise money and awareness of Neuroblastoma whilst offering help, support and advice to children and families affected by this aggressive childhood cancer. Other aims are to help fund much needed research and education programs and help improve all round treatment of Neuroblastoma. Please donate and help us help other families during the toughest fight of their lives. In memory of our amazing little girl Niamh.

Niamh, our beautiful girl,

Fourteen years have passed since we said goodbye on 20th May 2012,
yet your light still shines in everything we do.
Not a day goes by when you are not missed, not a moment passes when you are not loved.
You were/are our little girl, full of courage, full of warmth, full of a smile that could brighten even the darkest day.
Losing you changed our world forever,
but your name continues to live on
through Niamh’s Next Step —
through every act of kindness, every life touched, every bit of hope given to others.
What began from heartbreak
became a legacy of love, because you, Niamh, will always matter.
You will always be remembered.
Sometimes we wonder who you would be today, what dreams you’d be following, what adventures life would have brought you. But in our hearts,
you’ll forever remain our precious little girl.
Today we remember you with tears, with pride, and with endless love.

Thank you for the joy you gave us,
for the strength you still inspire us with,
and for the love that never fades.

Forever missed, forever loved, forever 5.
Mum, dad and Hannah 💜

Last week, while carrying out our routine checks on the defibrillator and bleed‑kit emergency boxes at the front of the shop Niamh’s Charity Boutique we discovered that the Off the Streets NN CIC bleed kit was missing. What’s particularly concerning is that the external box wasn’t damaged, which means it was opened using the access code — a code held by very few people.

Niamh’s Next Step CIO Childhood Cancer Charity funded both the box and the bleed kit to ensure our community had lifesaving equipment available in an emergency. It’s incredibly disappointing that someone has chosen to take something designed to protect others.

If you happen to come across one of these bags lying around, please do get in touch so it can be returned safely.

On a positive note, we’d like to say a huge thank you to Wellingborough Window And Gutter Cleaning for stepping in and sponsoring a replacement kit so the community isn’t left without this vital resource 💜

Happy heavenly 19th birthday to our beautiful Niamh. Lost to neuroblastoma in 2012 she is the inspiration behind Niamh’s Next Step and Niamh’s Charity Boutique as we continue to raise funds for research and to help other children with neuroblastoma.
Loved and missed so much everyday

Niamh's Next Step CIO Childhood Cancer Charity and Niamh’s Charity Boutique are now closed for Christmas and will reopen in January, as we take time to mark Niamh’s heavenly birthday 🎈

At this special and meaningful time of year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible community.
To every volunteer, customer, supporter, local business and friend who has stood with us throughout 2025 — your kindness and commitment mean more than words can say, we could not do this without you guys.

Together, you help keep Niamh’s light shining brightly, while supporting children and families facing childhood cancer throughout the UK.
It truly is the strength of this community that makes our work possible.

Wishing you all a warm, joyful and peaceful Christmas surrounded by the people you love.
