Built around 1130, our historic St Mary’s Church has many tales to tell. A Grade I listed building that has been adapted over the years, but still with its charm.

To maintain, restore, preserve and repair the building itself, you can imagine it isn’t cheap, often needing specialists to help, from stained glass window repair, plastering to organ restoration.

Donations are always needed and really appreciated to make a difference. To keep the church building in the best possible condition for generations to come.

Here are a few ways you can donate to FOSMB:

1) Send a one off gift donation - cheque payable to Friends of St Mary’s Bozeat*
2) Become a ‘Friend of St Mary’s Bozeat’ and pay monthly bank standing order payments. You will also be kept informed of our fundraising events*
3) Visit our events and contribute in activities (cash or contactless card payments accepted).

We’re delighted to say that we have the AGM on Tuesday 27th October, 7pm at the Vicarage. Amazing how a year has blown past since the last one.

We look forward to reminiscing about the last year and looking forward to our future events.

We all appreciate your support in coming to our events and hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

The money raised helps towards the preservation and maintenance of our beautiful 12th Century church.

Recently we paid £450 for the church toilet, which now has working hot and cold water taps and toilet overflow. Plus the kitchen now has a hot water tap - can you believe the team had to use the boiler for washing up until now?

What a night! 🤠 More details to follow when we know how much we have raised. But a few thank yous are needed:

Thanks to everyone that came to our Barn Dance last night. A delightful evening full of friendship and laughter.

Thanks to the talented Cut a Caper Band and entertaining caller who made the evening special.

Thanks to our amazing team and volunteers, from the planning stage through to the evening itself. The food was delicious (from homemade chilli, jacket potatoes, beans, tuna, salad to cheese and bread. The serving of food and drink was seamless.

🤠 Our barn dance is tomorrow, not too late to book tickets. 💃

Doors open at 6.30, starting at 7pm.

🥔 Tasty jacket potatoes, chilli and more included in ticket price. Raffle and bar are available.

No pressure to do all the dancing, just enjoy the entertaining evening with friends.

We’re just recovering from the most amazing Open Gardens in July. 🌷 The sun was shining and we had over 150 people come, including some as far as Bristol.

On the day we raised £1642.16 through ticket sales, refreshments, garden sale and raffle. 🎉
But we have just had a donation from a very kind generous lady who wanted to round it up to £1800. 😊 Thank you so much. The team really appreciate your kind donation.

Thanks to everyone that made the day so special.

We hope to use a portion of our money raised from our events towards the plastering of the porch soon. All the profit raised goes towards restoring our beautiful 12th Century church building and your help is much appreciated.

I (Melody as Chair) wants to personally thank everyone who made the Bozeat Open Gardens a truly special day. We’re busy calculating how successful, but we know it was our best event yet. With over 130 visitors.
